I had a very nice experience with them. They have been polite, they gave me detailed updates, left me messages whenever it was needed. All went fine, I found my new rental property through them - hopefully our nice connection stays like this. Ben, in the Chelmsford branch seems very nice and helpful.

Exceptional service from all the team, especially from Chris West

We were looking to sell our house & was told by close family to use Balgores Upminster, as they had recently sold with them, having had Chris West as their agent & had an amazing experience from start to finish. We followed suit & successfully sold our house within 3 weeks of it being listed with Balgores Upminster. We have no doubt this is because of the exceptional service from all the team, but especially from Chris West. Chris is professional, approachable & passionate about what he does. He kept us updated daily as to progress & was always available for catch-ups, even on the weekend. Thank you so much for all your help Chris! You are a star! Unfortunately, our experience with this estate agent (Giovanni) as first-time buyers was quite disappointing. Following the agreed sale, communication became inconsistent, and his manner was often unprofessional. We received documentation from Giovanni listing the incorrect property type, and he told we us we were wrong with an attachment for the corrected document. Coordinating the EICR proved unnecessarily difficult, despite providing advance notice regarding the time required. There was also confusion regarding who we were dealing with on completion, his team informed us Giovanni was off work and that someone named Joe would be handling things, yet Giovanni continued to communicate with us directly, adding to the lack of clarity. Most notably, the keys were handed to us through his car window, which felt dismissive and unprofessional outside a property on a public road ‘we shouldn’t have driven down’. Overall, the service did not meet the standard we expected. We would certainly advise to avoid this estate agent, particularly if buying outside of South Liverpool, as Giovanni expressed on numerous occasions ‘well I work in South Liverpool’, so perhaps this was the issue.

Thank you for your comments which we take your seriously. I am sorry that you have felt this way but just want to clarify a few points. We had an agreed time with the electrician and he was late( 30 mins ) and then we managed to agree with him a way forward for him to complete the EICR. I did mention that I was on holiday and I would personally hand over the keys on the completion day. This was discussed on the day the EICR was being done. I even emailed /text you on my holiday ( and the vendors / solicitors ) to ensure Exchange would happen before completion ( as per your request ). As soon as I received notification from the solicitor to release the keys ( after midday ) I contacted you and suggested the NEXT time slot which was after my 2pm appointment. You did not want to wait for this and so we decided to collect the keys from me. It was just before my appointment at 2pm. I hope this clarifies your points raised and best wishes for the future in your new home.

Unfortunately decided to use this firm regarding a property sale. Initially the individual that did the valuation and convinced me to sign on with them was easily accessible,Joe. Then after a while when I stopped receiving any viewings at all I tried on numerous occasions to get in contact with him but he just completely ignored my calls and messages. The Brentwood branch are really low on staffing which I only discovered when physically going to the office. In the future I'll do more research regarding what agents are the best in my local area because it definitely isn't Balgores and Joe completely lacks good customer service. The commission they charge as well is not competitive.
