GoogleMy bad experience with Thorhills Chiswick began from the very beginning. Before I moved in the room I was renting, they had difficulties to contact my landlord (they need two different references) so they told me that I would loss my room if they could not contact him and of course, I would loss my deposit and the first month that I already had paid (£1400). Once they got the references and I was living there, different people moved into the property and did not let us know in advanced. A couple of times I was having dinner and all of the sudden someone opened the door and said "I am your new flatmate. Did the agency inform you about it?" And of course, they never did. I moved from the previously mentioned room a month ago and since then, I have been waiting to received my deposit back (£700). I have been talking to three different people (even the manager) and I gave my bank details to two different people, everything I could hear were excuses "We will send the money within 5 days", "I am on annual leave", "the manager is not here at the moment but I will definitely pass the message"... Finally, I received my money yesterday but this way of treating the tenants is completely unrespectful. Specially, taking in consideration that I always paid my rent on time and I looked after the whole property as if it was mine. All these terrible experiences have encouraged me to make this review to advise everyone. If you can, please AVOID this agency. There are plenty of them in this wonderful city 🙂

GoogleWaited for agent outside flat for 20” no one showed up. Called the office the girl on reception said she didn’t know what flat number it was so I could ring the buzzer. Don’t sell your flat with these agents the hung up on me and didn’t do the viewing unprofessional

GoogleExcellent service! Ed Walton is very kind and patient. He is so dedicated and you can see that he loves his work. He explained to us everything that we need in finding a nice home and even recommend a very good mortgage adviser. We appreciate it a lot specially for a first time buyer like us who needs guidance! GoogleUnder-handed practice !! I have an interest in several properties in the Brentford area, furthermore my partner is Julia Quilliam of Quilliam property services. In the last year I have put three of my houses up for sale or let and within hours, my tenants have had a knock on the door by Thorgills asking who the owner is. Thorgills informing them that they have mystery buyers and that they should switch agents. One of our vendors believed them and switched but after a few weeks realised that he had been duped by the pack of lies he had been told, thankfully he came back to Quilliam’s who sold his property. I have rang Thorgills and told them of my disgust at this sharp practice, Thorgills must be desperate, they have been closing branches and making redundancies, yet they claim to be the most successful agents in the area !! Absolute rubbish !! If your going to use a local agent, use one that that doesn’t try and tout everyone else’s boards, has a good honest track record and doesn’t lie through their teeth to get you signed up and who actually knows the area. You have been warned against this unworthy mob Tom Keane Brentford resident all my life And well known to the whole community

Unprofessional letting agents! I booked two viewings with chiswick/brentford branch. One didn't even bother to call on the day. the second one was a girl who crossed every limits of being unprofessional. At the property she made me wait for over 30 mins saying she was stuck in the traffic and then on reaching she cancelled the apppointment at the gate of the building by making an excuse that the property won't suit my requirements. Actually she didn't bring the entry door key and shamelessly left without an ounce of apology.
