DO NOT buy from Taylor Wimpey! Poor quality house, 2-year warranty is a JOKE! They DO NOT CARE after they sold you the house! I had this terrible roof leakage issue for 2 months, is not even dripping in my house but splashing out now! Tried to call Taylor Wimpey customer services for more than 30 times, always new agent on the phone, always need to repeat the whole situation and of course NO ONE cares or follows up! Every single one of them promise to give you a callback, but NEVER happened! Apparently they just want to get rid of you over the phone. What a surprise to find out that even the customer services manager KEVIN is arrogant and rude and pay no attention over the phone. No wonder the whole team is a JOKE! I had a little one with me who is only 9m old. We could not sleep properly because of this horrible leakage issue. Told Taylor Wimpey, obviously they DO NOT even pay attention. So if you do not wish to experience this miserable situation I have, please make every effort to avoid this company! By the way, in case you think this is only an extreme example. I have moved into this house for almost two years now, and they still have not get me the window pole they promised from the first day! It was not an extra gift by the way, it was written in the contract!

Absolutely shocking customer service, takes them forever to sort any snagging. Flagged up waterlogged garden before we moved in, 16 months later things only got worse. Minor snagging like the door don’t shut properly, they/ ourselves have fixed multiple times but problem still not resolved. There’s no communication between the site manager, sales office and head office at all, apparently the sales office only cares about your money once they sold you the plot it’s not their concern. They’ve said there’s someone who’ll look after us once we completed, good luck with getting in touch with whoever it is they never answer your call or ring you back. You can call the customer service hotline but again, they won’t make the CS manager on-site nor the site manager aware of the problem so your problem is still your own problem. Also we’re considering to buy a second plot only because parents would like to relocate close to us, asked if they can put towards any incentives or at least put extra drainage in the garden considering we have to deal with the ridiculous pond for 16 months that’s not something I’d like my parents to go through but the reply we’ve got is that there’re many people eager to buy the plots so they don’t have to worry the plots won’t sell at all. Also. extra drainage is optional so it sounds to me like if you can afford putting extra drainage in then congrats you’ll have a decent garden if not just accept the fact of it being a waterlogged garden because again plots are so popular that they don’t really care about these minor things. We understand there’ll be snagging no matter which developer you go for, and how Covid will somehow slow things down but what we’ve experienced is solely the result of bad customer service. Sowerby Gateway is a lovely community to live in but before you decided to go ahead with TW, mentally prepare yourself with unlimited patience and the need to make time to deal with their nonsense.

At present the site hasn't opened but I am in contact with a very helpful lady Georgie....she gives excellent customer service and nothing is too much trouble for her....I shall certainly be visiting when showhome opens and intend to purchase a property....Georgie is a credit to Taylor Wimpey 😊 …
