Poor service, been waiting weeks now for a refund for my reservation fee after countless emails and phone calls. Only to be told the same nonsense with no urgency of trying to help me get my money back.

We had an excellent experience buying our first new build with Taylor Wimpey. Katie and Jonathan were brilliant and helped us along the way to choosing our perfect home, we had lots of opportunities to view different plots. The buying process was very straightforward and we used the recommended solicitors, who were also really efficient and responsive. We used the EasyMover scheme which was also a great experience and we were able to influence which agents to use and change one at one point. The house is fantastic and gives us everything we hoped for. The quality is really good and the small list of minor defects highlighted by a snagger and ourselves were fixed within a couple of weeks. You always pay a premium for new builds but we felt like we were still getting value for money and a long term family home. We chose this development as it has a good feel and more character than similar new builds in the area.

I trusted Taylor Wimpey when the the sales office told me there would be no affordable housing on this development. Now, after moving in, I’ve learned they are negotiating a bulk sale of 59 units for social rent, something they never disclosed and now refuse to explain. Sales material was updated after purchase. Every attempt to get straight answers has been met with scripted replies, contradictions, or “we can’t comment.” Residents have been left feeling misled, ignored, and treated as an inconvenience rather than valued customers. This isn’t how a major developer should treat the people who invest their life savings into their homes.
