GoogleThis is an email service, they email you about a new property listing, you reply within four hours, then they email again saying demand is too high to accommodate your viewing. All this having already filled out a full application form, twice. This has occurred multiple times! If only they had telephones......

GoogleWe used Stags for their full letting experience when we let our house out for one year, as we were first time landlords. It was a shocking experience, which caused us significant stress and thousands of pounds and a period of being temporarily homeless for 4 months. The tenant they vetted was not someone, if we had met, we would let into our home. When we (eventually) moved back into our house, red letter bills in these people's names arrive regularly in the post to this day. Stags let us down most with regard to giving these people the appropriate notice required. Then Covid hit, so we had to wait another month due to Stag's delay in informing us and the tenants of Covid legislation changes. I believe the young girl "managing" our account left Stags around this time. Next, and only 8 days before we were due to move back into our own home, we found out - only by accident- that the tenants had no plans at all to move out. We only discovered this as our wifi provider couldnt switch accounts back to our home. We informed Stags who then contacted the tenants, only to be told they had no intention of moving out, despite our one year lease ! This was about midday and is one of those moments engraved on my brain. We assumed a manager from Stags would call us back to explain how this happened and to support or advise us. No! I will never forget that night. We were shocked and stressed and had no idea where we could live. We have no experience of the law and only learnt that we could not legally go anywhere near our home. A phone call from Stags to apologise for their lack of managment of our tenancy at that time would have been decent. They called the next morning. So we found ourselves homeless and had to move in with family. We eventually had to go down a legal route which cost us thousands in fees to evict the tenants. There is a lot more detail of utter incompetence I could add but dont want to bore. You would do a better job yourself and you would definitely care more about basic things like end of lease and not being homeless. Avoid avoid avoid. She has been everything we could have hoped for in an estate agent from start to finish. She was always on the other end of the phone if we needed anything and if she couldn't answer, she would always come back to us promptly. GoogleThe company manage some land near my property and I have been trying to contact the solicitor looking after the land for 6 weeks now regarding some trees overhanging my property and neighbouring properties.He never replies to my emails and when I speak to him he promises to deal with and I don't hear from him!! GoogleOverall when I had to deal with Stags Totnes for lettings I found them ill mannerly and pretentious. There was one enthusiastic, helpful young chap there who gave me the time of day and was willing to chat about my requirements. Despite being a landlord and home owner myself I found the lettings staff very dismissive and unhelpful - nobody was willing to really listen to me courteously. It was like trying to get blood out of a stone, trying to get information on properties. Shame.NegativeProfessionalism
We are really sorry that you felt this way, but since the lifting of lockdown the market has been so busy that we are unable to call everyone back or email back straight away. We are always interested in people and their circumstances and have had to send applicants an application form to complete and return before we can move forward in order to manage the enquiries and calls. If the market was like it was before lock down we would be able to give the time to people but under the circumstances we only do the best we can physically do to make sure we deal with everyone’s enquiries as quickly as possible.

GoogleWow. I just had a stunning interaction with Stags Totnes as a potential buyer. Upon attending a second viewing of a property we were quite interested in we were met by the same agent we had viewed with previously. Firstly, she didn't recognize us and didn't realize it was a second viewing. Then, she proceeded to tell us that she had to "love us and leave us" shortly because she had another appointment. She had allotted only 30 mins for the viewing, despite it being a second viewing. Luckily the owners were home, so they were happy to let us continue the outdoor viewing after the agent left. I had employed a buyers agent (unusual in the UK) and he had been having difficulty getting timely responses from Stags, so to try to get out in front of any further delays if we had any final questions, I asked the agent if she could please be more responsive to future requests, stating that we were indeed quite interested in the property. She then launched into a defensive diatribe of how she was too busy and we should chase her if we didn't hear from her. because, as she stated, "her responsibility ended" after forwarding any questions to the owners. Then she had the audacity to tell me that "when you really want something, you have to be prepared to work hard for it"! She was actually telling me, that if I wanted to purchase a house with them, I had to be prepared to work hard for it! Stunning. I am convinced that this agent hasn't a clue how to sell anything. If I was a seller I'd REALLY THINK TWICE about listing with this agent. They are not working for you. Unfortunately, they aren't working for me either, so now I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth and trying to decide if I should bother to continue to look seriously at any property listed with them.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleWe bought our house from Stags and from the very first viewing they were consummate professionals. 1. Viewings were all covid safe, limited to two people and masks were worn. 2. Communications were excellent. Lauren Anthony is a credit to the organisation and goes above and beyond liaising with solicitors, buyers and sellers which is well beyond the remit of her job. 3. They are easy to contact, and will also make use of email. They also respond to queries very quickly. 4. The brochure we received for the house we bought was clear, concise and the pictures were wonderful. We sold our house with another firm but will be definitely using Stags if we move again. Always upbeat and helpful throughout the time the house was on the market.
