Google5 stars for selling house in a week. Also 5 plus stars go to Tabby, who without we would have gone insane. She became the go to person as a liaison with the solicitors. Something needs to change with selling property in England, it should not be so difficult in this day of the internet (which to be fair is not the fault of Robert Watts) 4 people in my family are/were selling houses at the same time. one of the buyers sacked his solicitor after 3 months, and the whole process started again, that sale is still on going. 1 had their buyer pull out on the day of exchange of contracts, this after 3 and a half months (luckily she was moving to a new property and got another buyer before house was finished, but it went right up to the wire. The 3rd, again supposed to be completing this week, (half term),the buyer at the bottom of the chain pulled out, this after 5 months, they have given up and have gone to get there stuff back from storage, and they have lost the house they wanted to buy. Then there is us, we were on swift move, had a first time buyer with mortgage arranged and we were moving out, what could be easier. Got offer on Friday 13th June, which was accepted, all further viewings cancelled, it took until the 10th October to complete (exchange on same day), we had no choice but to put our furniture into storage 2 days before, still having no guarantee that the whole thing would go through or not, luckily for us it did. Maybe the federation of English Estate agents, there must be one, can lobby the government to change the system to one like in Scotland, where the seller gets a homebuyer survey done first, at least then getting a chance to fix problems or adjusting prices accordingly, then when an offer is made that should be legally binding, or it will cost money to get out of the deal... Sorry for the rant, and as I originally said 5 stars to Tabby and team at Robert Watts
Elizabeth we feel your total frustration with the home moving process which is not really fit for purpose now but we do thank you for taking time to post this lovely review of Tabby and Birkenshaw. The Government has plans to change the system but we do not expect a quick fix and it is so important to have a proactive and professional agent on your side. GoogleRobert Watts in BD2 helped us to sell our house in Eccleshill. The valuation by James Hart was accurate and he gave so much of his time to answer our questions and offer additional information. Clare from the BD2 office supported us with our house sale and she was wonderful, she was in regular contact with us at every stage and liaised with the solicitor and buyer regularly. This meant we exchanged contracts much earlier than expected and she helped us a lot on the lead up to completion. Stephen managed all our viewings and he was excellent. I would highly recommend Robert Watts to anyone selling in the local area.

GoogleService is terrible, they don’t come back to you when you enquire about viewing a property. I left many messages but no one returns calls. I feel sorry for the people using this shambles of a company to market their property. Staff are really rude when you do get through to speak to someone. If I could give them a zero I would have done as they are not worthy of 1 star.
Saam, we are sorry you had such a poor experience which was obviously not our intention but we will look into this and come back to you. We have looked into this and unfortunately we can find no record of your name and we do make a point to return all calls. If you were enquiring about a house with lots of interest, sometimes we have to cap viewings which leaves people disappointed and we apologise if you were in this position but there is no way around this. We do wish you luck with your future search but we note you do give lots of 1 star reviews so you obviously have very high standards.
