The agents quoted a high price for the property initially , while another agent quoted much nearer the price the house sold for eventually. I might have appreciated a more honest appraisal of our property , to start with. However I would recommend Moginie James to my friends , as the team was very professional.

I have been very impressed with the service provided at both ends. We have been kept fully informed at all stages by phone and by e-mail. Michelle Lloyd in the Sales Progression team deserves particular thanks - she has kept the process moving steadily forwards, has been unswervingly helpful and has helped all parties to resolve issues that could have scuppered the whole chain. Following a bad experience with another Estate Agent that is prominent in the Roath area, I went to Moginie James with a rather poor view of estate agents generally. I've had my opinion changed by their excellent service. Help and advice on how to present the property, lots of viewings, prompt and useful feedback, email and telephone contact ahead and after viewings. All this activity has led to a sale. They managed to achieve this in a few weeks when the other agent couldn't get close to it in 8. I'll be using them again and have no reservation at all in recommending them.

Having bought my property in Pontcanna back in July 2015, through Moginie James, their in and after-sales support was invaluable. Having a dedicated point of contact/ representative to liaise between solicitors during the conveyancing process, was also essential. Multiple access to the house being purchased, during the sales process, was also forthcoming, and arranged with ease. They also provide a welsh language service/ point of contact, which was a breath of fresh air really, especially for Pontcanna.

I've been a buy- to-let landlord for some while and when it came to letting out my father's property we approached Moginie James, as they were local to the property. From the market appraisal, to the production of marketing materials, to getting the property on-line and a board outside, everything was done very efficiently. Most importantly, the property let, to very suitable tenants, within 3 weeks - for pretty much the monthly rent they had assessed and so we were very pleased. We received a text message before each viewing and feedback afterwards. They were also able to arrange an Energy Performance Certificate very quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Recently sold my first property through Moginie James. The level of service was excellent. I was made to feel at ease and confident in my choice of estate agendt from the beginning. The whole process was dealt with professionally and promptly, Everything was explained clearly without patronising, which was very much appreciated. I have had a business relationship with Moginie James since 2009, when I purchased my first investment property through MJ.. A highly professional and seamless transaction impressed me so much I have since bought more investment properties from them. I now have two HMOs in the Splott area of the city and another in Roath, which I purchased through MJ last year. With four tenants in each of my HMOs, therefore twelve in total, I decided it would be best to move away from trying to manage these tenancies by myself and handover my small but precious portfolio to an organisation that would meet my very high standards. I'm not just saying that, I do have really high standards; I have sought out how to become a member of the Landlord Association Wales, joined the National Landlord Association and worked with the Private Sector Housing of the local authority to ensure I am meeting the most professional letting standards possible - even by doing little things like fitting interlinked smoke alarms in all bedrooms not just the communal areas where they are required. This is because it is vital to me that I am providing my tenants with the highest standards of rented accommodation and looking after their welfare as best I can. It is with these standards in mind I have this year instructed MJ to source suitable tenants for each of my properties, carry out all the relevant checks and to fully manage them. Whenever any issues may arise, the communication from MJ is second to none. I have no doubt that I will continue to work with MJ to source my tenants for hopefully years and years, going forward. I am in the process of purchasing a very different type of investment property from them - a one bedroom apartment in Cardiff Bay; I look forward to working with MJ to help me source and manage tenants with this one too. Keep up the great work and excellent communication that you give time and time again. Thank you.
