GoogleAs part of our moving process our solicitor wanted to verify funds for anti money laundering purposes. The app requires you to grant access to read only access of your internet banking (without limitations). Essentially they can look at whatever they want. Who are these people snooping through your internet banking, or what if they get hacked or have someone providing information to people they shouldn’t and your personal banking information ends up all over the dark web. We pushed back and our solicitor gave us the option of the “manual” process of supplying limited bank statements. Be very careful when using this app as you are granting them read only access to all your internet banking statements, DDs, Standing orders when frankly they only need a small amount of info. This kind of App is far too intrusive.
