I have recently sold my house through Charters in Alton. I thought Sarah, Toby and the team were excellent, not only did they sell my house in the first 2 weeks, they also got me asking price. Once my sale was agreed I dealt with Gary Hansford who was nothing short of exceptional. He was extremely efficient, patient and did a great job in managing the process through to completion. I would highly recommend Charters in Alton.

Overall - this was really good customer service. It took a bit of chasing to speak to someone who could help me with my issue, but when I was able to speak with the property manager, Joe Oakley, he was extremely efficient and prompt with his help, and the matter was resolved within minutes.

Stop bloody emailing me! I have unsubscribed from their emails about 10 times and they don't stop. I've never rented from them and I only called them once to book a viewing and they have incessantly emailed me about properties ever since. Shut up, go away, get bent

Business-like Charters

Charters were a revelation to deal with, I have been a landlord for over 35 years and in that time have rented a number or properties, and dealt with a number of agents. Charters were always extremely professional in their approach, keeping me fully informed at all times during relets. they were courteous and friendly but above all always business-like. I would have no problem in recommending them to other landlords and/or tenants. I found their managers Jenna Miles and Kamila Manila particularly helpful in my dealings with them.

Charters handled the sale of my stepfather's retirement flat. They were proactive in the process and I always felt informed and up to date. As executors we worked mostly with Jane Tomlinson who was friendly and efficient. It felt as if we were working together towards the sale. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience and would recommend Charters in Worthing.

Sales progression great

Charters is a mixed bag in my opinion and people driven. I think the branch team (bitterne in our case) is pedestrian but no more so than any other estate agent. Where things really happen is the communication that you get once a sale is agreed. I must say that Gary Hansford has been excellent. We’ve gone through an emotional, testing and turbulent 18 months in our quest to move house and Gary has been with us every step of the way. He’s had to endure our ups and downs with us and has been professional throughout. I’d go as far to say as I felt Gary was as invested in our transaction as we were. Charters is the best estate agent in Southampton in my opinion having dealt with a few.

Outstanding service from Charters Estate Agents I’ve used Charters Estate Agents for the past 15 months and have been extremely impressed with the service throughout. Their fully managed service has made being a landlord incredibly straightforward, with any issues, whether plumbing, gardening, roofing, electrics or anything else, dealt with quickly and efficiently. Last year, they found excellent tenants for my property within a month. More recently, my existing tenants unexpectedly decided to leave, but Charters once again delivered. A new tenant was found, fully checked and agreed to move into the flat within just five weeks, an excellent result given the circumstances. A special mention must go to Jacqui and Kirstie, who have been fantastic and played a key role in finding the new tenant. They have both been incredibly helpful, responsive and professional throughout. I’m very happy with Charters and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to other landlords. Great service, excellent communication and a very impressive fully managed service. Highly recommended.

Toby was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He genuinely treated our house as if it were his own, taking the time to understand all the little details and personal touches that made it special to us.
