POOR ESTATE AGENT

We used Reeds Rains selby north yorkshire to sell our bungalow , things were ok ( allthough we had to do all the chasing up on viewings and despite telling the manager not happy with the service or the lack of it nothing changed ) upto selling but once we had a buyer the manager lost all interest , no updates with how things were progressing and not even a thank you once they got paid quite a large sum of money . definitely will never use them again .

I cannot agree with your comments around lack of feedback for your viewings as we had multiple customers viewings on your property and I can see notes on every viewing where the staff were chasing and collecting and giving feedback to you. I also do not agree with your loss of interest comment either. I, personally, helped negotiate the offer, achieving £14,000 above the asking price as well as running through information, looking at floorplans and discussing the property you wished to purchase (not being sold via Reeds Rains). During the progression of your sale, I had numerous conversations with you, including when your buyers had lost their purchaser, and I understood from the buyers you had exchanged numbers. At the exchange and competition stage we would normally receive all keys and would thank you for being a customer however, with you having exchanged numbers, and agreeing with the buyers you would meet them to hand keys over directly, we were left out of this stage. So I will thank you for being a customer, I'm happy we helped you buy and sell and buy again, I hope you enjoy your new house and hopefully our paths cross again.Regards,Reeds Rains Selby

Me and my wife had a viewing today through reed rains Middlesbrough. The gentleman Ted was everything you need from an estate agent. He was extremely polite, professional and helpful. Was supposed to move into a property this month, both very excited to get the keys etc we paid the deposit on the 15th of December so we give them plenty of time we even phoned up to let them know we paid it, a few weeks past and we have 0 communication back not even knowing what was going on so my partner goes down to see what is happening to get told they apparently never received the payment and blaming it on a system error! Like are you being serious! We even rang up to tell yous we paid the deposit! So then they say they have given the house to someone else! I'm absolutely disgusted with what happened and the excuses we got. We even got told we can get the keys on the 1st January! Such a disappointment.

I sold a house whilst it was in probate. Karen Knight and the Reeds Rains team marketed it and found a buyer who was happy to wait until probate was granted. They managed the entire sale professionally, and I was very satisfied with the whole process.

Absolute rubbish. Do not use Reeds Reins Ossett

Absolute rubbish. I don’t recommend. I’m in the process of selling. It’s been a total frustration & I feel very badly let down by the staff at Reeds Reins Ossett. I have no idea what they are doing for their commission as it’s always me that’s chasing & trying to get things moving, I’m always getting the answer machine & I very rarely get calls back. It would be a very big review if I went into the nitty gritty of the problems due to their lack of effort. Communication is RUBBISH, the worst of any company I have ever dealt with. They didn’t keep on top of our first sale & we lost alot of time because of them. The second sale is on with & again they haven’t done anything. We’re 3 months into a sale that was supposed to take a month & it’s because they don’t chase things up or communicate with you. I complained by email to the manager laying out their negligence with the first sale. One of the members of staff agreed with my comments on the phone but the manager never responded. I rang twice for a response to my email…nothing. I’ve screenshot all the calls & you can see from my call log that they don’t get back to you. I emailed asking for a response to my complaint & it wasn’t barely a response just a couple of lines of nothing. I’m so so frustrated & fed up of doing all the leg work myself. Very disappointed. I was about to pull out of the sale & move somewhere else as I’d had enough & then they finally did something, however since then I’ve had nothing & yet again I’ve had to chase.

Preston staff rude and unhelpful. The letting agent rips you off or takes ages getting your deposit back. Disgusting branch and should be held to account for helping landlords steal your money.
