Great agent

Hi Kate, I just wanted to give you some feedback on my experiences with your team in Cleckheaton, especially Hilary Darling. 3 years ago I bought a house to let out, then 1 year ago I rented a flat to work up here midweek when we moved our family home down south to Peterborough. Hilary has been brilliant in sorting out issues when my tenant started to give me difficulties by not paying the rent, then subsequently leaving the house with damage. She has always been there to call upon and always followed up with great communication and advice then tough action when needed, she is a credit to your team! My circumstances have now changed, so I am living in the house I bought up here, not renting anymore, but I wanted to give you some feedback that I would recommend your team to anyone letting or renting in the future. Super helpful staff!

The team at Robert Watts in Cleckheaton were so helpful when I moved into my property recently. They could not have done enough for me. Having always owned historically, moving to rented was quite daunting and I had no idea what to expect. They helped me with the application forms, make my move really smooth and even recommended a removal company to help with my furniture. Would highly recommend this agency.

An agent that does things properly!

Having been involved in helping a couple of my staff recently in renting properties through agents in Yorkshire, I have quickly realised that there is a massive quality and competence difference between agents. Some claim to be qualified and cost effective, but as I have recently found, some have no clue about Tenancy Law or even how to treat a tenant fairly. One company that I cannot praise enough though is Robert Watts. They are not only qualified and registered with the appropriate schemes but they treat both the tenant and landlord as individuals. How do I know this? I used to Manage one of their branches and know just how professional they are. I only realised how important this was when I found how incompetent and Ill-knowledgeable some other agents are. My views are impartial, as my days with Robert Watts are behind me. But take it from me, if you are a landlord who needs the peace of mind......use RW, and if you’re a tenant who doesn’t want to be ripped off or made feel second class...again use RW.

Robert Watts delivered an outstanding experience for us. We were nervous about selling my wifes old house which had been an investment property for the last 8 years. We don't live locally and just didn't have the knowledge of the area to get things done or the ability to show people round. Julie & Lucy put us at our ease and were absolutely incredible - they really helped us see where our house was strong, and how we could add a bit of value easily. They even helped with introducing us to reliable, cost effective and good trades people. Their professionalism, proactive approach & outstanding knowledge of the local market is an example not just to other estate agents - but to any professional who believes themselves to be an expert. They understand the market, have a balanced view between vendor and purchaser and a total can-do attitude. Nothing was ever too much trouble - and the service level exceeded expectations at all times. Just in case you're not sure how good they are, we went from a live listing on the 25th of January - to completion on the 28th of April. This wasn't luck, or a cheap house - this was dedication, salesmanship & a desire to work with us to get the property sold to our timescales. Booked a viewing for 4:45 for an apartment in Bradford. Was there from 4:40 and waited until 5:15 as nobody showed up. Apparently when I called, someone was waiting there from 4:45 and left at 4:50, no phone call to let me know this was the case as apparently it isn't normal practice to confirm a viewing. Absolute time waste, the estate agent clearly never showed up.

A personable and efficient team who kept us informed

We picked Robert Watts to sell an elderly relative's house, as they had done a great job on a previous [very similar] occasion - and we weren't disappointed! From the moment John [Watts] came to value the property, right up to the final completion day [only 11 weeks later], all communications were prompt, relevant and delivered by a team who clearly cared about the process. The fact that Robert Watts also offered a 'link' to a local solicitor made the entre sale process simpler - which was important with an 86 year-old vendor now living in a Care Home. Oh, and we shouldn't forget that the property sold FOR THE ASKING PRICE to only the second person to view it ! Excellent performance !!

An Incredibly disgraceful experience obtained from this office, largely due to the lack of commitment and continuous misleading information shown by the colleagues. Lacked basic manners and respect towards customers, and specifically preferential treatment shown to other customers with no good excuse, which probably suggests discrimination. We used Robert Watts to both sell our house and find our new home and they were fantastic. Rebecca was our main point of contact and she was brilliant. She could not have done more. She was able to help with a number of concerns we had throughout the process and also helped push things along when certain stages used to slow down. In particular Rebecca went above and beyond and helped clarify a number of issues that were found with the .Home Buyers Survey. Without her assistance we would still be trying to understand it now!
