Damien was very helpful and supportive in achieving a quick recovery of our home from tenant in difficult circumstances for me. He gave good advice on the best approach for a recovery from existing tenant. During the process he reported regularly on what was happening and also gave me useful feedback. Also, during the period to carry out some repairs but, as I do not live locally to the area, he provided me with some really good contacts for carpenter/plumber and roofer who all carried out the necessary repairs quickly, efficiently and at a fair price. In the run up to completion I was unable to visit the property for a month so he checked on it to ensure all was well. I would definitely recommend this company.

Ryan then took the reigns and was very informative and prompt to answer any questions. He also ensured that I was able to move in 4 days prior to posted move in date. Very handy as I was going to be starting a new job on the Monday!!
He also made it that some of the furniture I requested to be moved out was done in time for my move in. Considering I had a month to build a new life in Reading, Parkers made the whole process very straight forward.

I have used Parkers since I bought my first rental property back in the 90's. I used them for their central location in town, reasonable rates and professional approach. Since then things have moved on a pace in the rental market and I have to say that I've been impressed with the way that they've adapted to cope, taking on more staff as necessary and introducing different departments for the different areas in the lifecycle of a rental property (finding new tenants, maintenance issues, tenants leaving etc.). Service has always been good, with new tenants found quickly, maintenance issues dealt with promptly and an overall professional attitude.

Parkers offered a competitive fee and are one of the better agents when coming to sell terrace properties in central Reading.
Provided a good service and kept me up to date with all viewings. My only negative is that one of the agents who showed viewings round was more a 'key holder' than someone who gave positive advice about the property if the viewer was not sure of certain facts about a property of this age e.g "this second bedroom is quite small", "well if thats the only problem then it only costs £x to take the chimney out and is easy to do".
During the sale they kept the process moving at a good rate and kept me informed of everything that was going on. They also provided help in liaising with the buyers solicitors to keep the chain moving when my buyers probate was causing delays
Overall a good service as I would expect from an agent selling your property

Looking for my own place in a restricted period of time, Daniel from Parkers has been extremely helpful in selecting for me a few properties to look at, all in my price range and in the appropriate location, on the very same afternoon. I ended up selecting one of them. Being foreign and for the first time renting a flat in the UK, Parkers has proven to be extremely patient with all my questions. Once the process is engaged, it seems harder to get things done for certain (I have yet to receive some paperwork and it doesn't seem the carpets have been cleaned professionally as promised), and yet the staff is always pleasant and somehow willing to help if you are persistent enough. I started looking for investment properties last summer. I used a selection of estate agents. Parkers were brilliant every step of the way. First they were always polite on the phone. Two, they were never late for viewings. Three and most importantly they were never ever pushy to hasten me to make a decision. Their staff member on viewings was independent of sales and was always impartial and helpful to consider the entire property.
I found Amy, on the phone, consistently kind and thoughtful. She always followed up questions, finding out the answers and never pushed for a sale. She listened and responded to my requests, only sent me details of properties that were pertinent to me and after many viewings, I found a property which matched my all requirements.
Ben, on the lettings side was very competent too. Again not pushy or presumptuous. Thorough on the first visit and answered all of my many questions. He was professional, always punctual. He was very reasonable on valuation and what to expect. He said when the information would go live on the web and it did. My only surprise was how
quickly my property let (under a week!)

When signing up to a property with the above agents, they were all smiles. After we signed our contract, we got a house that was full of someone else's leftover furniture, was filthy, un-kept and needed work doing to it throughout. We spent our time and our money putting it right, being told we'd be 're-imbursed' at the end of our tenancy. As you can imagine, they do not have any recollection of such matters. Us spending £800 on carpets, having a handyman for 2 days putting wires back in walls and replacing lights, them having to hire cleaners AFTER we had signed for the house - seems to have totally vanished from their memories!
Don't trust them, be taken in by their smiles or believe any of their stories.
Get absolutely everything in writing as they will do their utmost best to screw money out of you however they can.

I was interested to buy this property and made an offer. Parkers has accepted my offer after 4 days. But within 24 hour they changed their mind and informed someone else has offered more and so we will take that offer, if you do not increase. As they told the new offer is significantly higher than my offer, I was not in a position to make an higher offer. They may be right in taking up the higher offer, but they are wrong in accepting my offer when they knew that someone else has seen the property already and has not made any offer yet. They should have waited for the other person to make an offer before accepting mine. This particular property was in the market for more than 8 weeks when I made the offer and what is surprising is, within a day of my offer getting accepted someone else made a significantly higher offer. There might not be anything dodgy here, but I can't convince myself that everything was in order all the way. I hope they do not do anything like this to anyone else.

In response to your comment we would like to clarify the circumstances around your review and why we were unable to proceed with your offer. The original offer you made was within the first few weeks of marketing the property. Your offer was substantially lower than the asking price and was therefore rejected. After some time you requested we represent your offer, we attempted to do this but we were unable to get in touch with the vendor. When we finally had a response from the vendor, your offer was then accepted. In the meantime, other viewings were taking place and one of the applicants that viewed before your offer was accepted came in with a higher off which had to be presented to the vendor. The vendor decided to proceed with the higher offer, at which point we informed you of this and gave you the opportunity to increase on your original offer, which you declined. As an agent we have to act with our vendor’s best interest in mind and are legally obliged to present all offers. If you do wish to contact Parkers to discuss this further we would welcome this.

The service I have received from begiining to end has been fantastic and Damien has been thorough, honest and helpful all the way through.
All of the numerous issues were on my side as I had problems with my mortgage lender. This caused delays amounting to around 3 months, during which time Damien was extremely understanding and helped keep the relationship with the vendor as smooth as possible. Last year I looked into an investment property and at the time spent a lot of time with Parkers, who were honest, patient and gave excellent advice, which I followed and held off buying until this year. I have now put an offer in on a property which has been accepted. What I particularly like about Parkers is that they never pushed or tried to cajol me into buying. When I was being shown around Ben was really helpful giving balanced advice, highlighting pros and cons rather than trying to push me into a decision, he was patient and happy to show me as many properties as I wanted before I choose. He was also incredibly respectful of the vendors, whish I thought showed integritey.
Honesty and respect are high on my agenda when buying a property and I can honestly say that all the staff treated me with these. I would thoroughly recommend Parkers.
