"After nearly a year, the..."

After nearly a year, the words "we won't discount our % commision because we're worth the extra" still ring in my ears. The initial flirtation with Intercounty in January was excellent. They gave the highest valuation, they had "their own" conveyancing team to handle the admin, they had a specialist sales progressor to deal with me day to day and then we had an offer of the asking price within 4 days. After that it went downhill fast. We accepted the offer in early February, but struggled to communicate with the conveyancing company and the sales progessor was rude and abrupt both by email and on the phone. We were an unusual sale as we were emmigrating and the dates weren't fully fixed, but we kept Intercounty and the conveyancers fully informed all the way. We presumed they would inform our buyer and their solicitor. We confirmed our date of emmigration in June, at this point we still hadn't exchanged. Intercounty and the conveyancers took 3 weeks to inform our buyer of our leaving date. Eventually on the day of exchange, days before we emigrated, the conveyancers said they had lost our signed contract. We finally sold the property a month after we'd left the UK and the change in exchange rate between us leaving and getting the money from the sale meant we lost over 10k. I would obviously advise against using Intercounty and their conveyancing company.

To be honest, my wife and I

To be honest, my wife and I were treated with respect and Intercounty exceeded our expectation from the start including documentation and finally the exchange and handover.

I phoned this agency four

I phoned this agency four times trying to arrange a viewing for a property in Saffron Walden the first three times they promised to phone me back and never did, the last time I requested to be put through to someone and I was put on hold and then the phone connected and I heard "yeah, she's on the line, just hang up on her" before the line went dead. Appallingly rude service, I can only imagine how they treat their tenants. The landlord of this property should also be very upset that of four approaches to view his property this agency has failed to arrange a single viewing.

Dunmow office worst estate agent i have ever dealt with. Checked out 9 days ago havnt heard a peep. Still have my £3k deposit! I have called the office 5 times spoken to various staff who all said they would get back and still nothing!! Going to report to ARLA if it doesnt get sorted tomorrow by 5pm. On top of that i left my pool table at the property which the landlord agreed to buy off me. Have i seen a penny? Of course not. Is it that hard to get back to me instead of saying on the phone you will "look in it" and then not calling me back. Useless.

Daniel, John and the team

Daniel, John and the team handled the sale and purchase and were very positive and supportive throughout. Andrew also facilitated the new mortgage. Overall I was both impressed with their professionalism and grateful for their support and would certainly recommend them.

From the word go John, Daniel

From the word go John, Daniel and the team were great. The advice and help that they gave us throughout the sale was brilliant. They helped chase the solicitors and work to the deadline that we had. With all their help we managed to complete within eight weeks. We will be using them again next time and will recommend them.

My family and I were looking to move away from London. We found Intercounty by chance encounter as we drove through Sawbridgeworth, originally planning to drive to Saffron Walden to view other properties. Your team were so friendly and knowledgeable and with credit to them we found our dream home in Sawbridgeworth. We really want to thank the fantastic team at your Sawbridgeworth branch, firstly finding our amazing home and secondly for such amazing support throughout, what is undeniably, a stressful process! Kindest regards

Unlike some estate agents Intercounty deliver a really personal service, they were really helpful when trying to find a house to rent, and kept us informed every step of the way
