GoogleGreat experience with this estate agent. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very quick to answer or assist when required. Viewings were arranged with short notice and I was sorted within a matter of days. Even with complications with the application, I was kept informed and the team far exceeded expectations in ensuring my application was successful! Would highly recommend!

GoogleAugust 2018 Very Disappointing! On their website it is claimed: “Phil’s enthusiasm and passion for exemplary customer service has built him a solid reputation and repeat clients.” I am afraid to say our experience was very different. Let me hasten to say at the outset that I am well aware that the housing market is very sluggish right now and my complaint is not about Davis Tate’s failure to sell our property. After our first meeting I was very hopeful, as Phil seemed to be living up to his reputation for providing enthusiastic customer service and we agreed to give him sole agency for four weeks. After we had approved the photographs, it was nearly a week before anything appeared online. (With our new agents it took just a couple of hours.) It took another three weeks before our house featured on the advertisement board at the Davis Tate offices in Abingdon. At our initial meeting, we asked, and Phil agreed, to leave a business card each time he brought clients to the house. Not once did this happen. He did bring clients around on a number of occasions but, unless we phoned him and asked, we were never offered any feedback. We had no idea what potential buyers did or did not like. Just as the 4 week sole agency was about to expire, Phil telephoned to ask if he could bring clients around the following Saturday. Naturally we agreed. The same thing happened the following week, so again we agreed. At this point we were about to go on holiday for 3 weeks so it was not feasible to bring other estate agents on board at that stage. After deciding to reduce the asking price to expedite the sale, my husband went in to see Phil. At this meeting he enquired why no ‘For Sale’ signs had been erected at our property. Phil claimed he hadn’t realised this was the case which, in my view, is unacceptable, it is part of the service one expects and he did have one made within a couple of days. After returning from holiday, my husband emailed Phil to inform him that we were revoking his sole agency which by this time had lasted for 10 rather than 4 weeks. He did not have the courtesy to respond. Within 48 hours of that email however, our online adverts had been removed and our ‘For Sale’ notice had been removed from the Davis Tate window; in that regard he was very quick and efficient. So, for all these reasons my advice would be to go elsewhere if you are serious about getting good service and selling your house.
I am extremely disappointed that you have been dissatisfied with the service that you have experienced. GoogleWhat a professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly service we have received from Phil over the last few months. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the help, advice and speed in which Phil has dealt with our complicated house sale. From the initial consultation and valuation; his professional photographer worthy photos of our property; to his cheerful, positive manner; all the way through to exchange. (Our house in fact selling within 24 hours) He did what he said, when he said he would; kept us informed; going above and beyond on several occasions. He has been exceptional on all levels. Taking the time to explain things in detail and make sure we were happy every step of the way. He has made what could have been a very stressful situation (myself also being 6 months pregnant) easy, straightforward and handled it in such a way that I have had the utmost confidence in him and his capabilities as our agent from start to finish. I have found his support these last few months unwavering. It's nice to know there's still some genuine, honest, helpful people around. Phil is definitely one of the good guys!

GoogleI was recommended the Davis Tate Financial advisor Chris Pledge to deal with my sons complicated mortgage arrangements and not disappointed... He not only did a house visit Friday night but dealt with the paperwork in the office Sunday morning. He certainly shows how proficient he is in a relaxed confident manner. GoogleDavis Tate acted swiftly to send an engineer over within hours of reporting a faulty pump and shower over the bank holiday weekend. I had received both an email and phone call to advise me the engineer would be over shortly. All services were fully restored on the same day. The speed of execution to rectify issues when reporting a problem with Davis Tate is first class.

GoogleDavis Tate have been amazing, from letting us a property 2 years ago, through the tenancy, and then buying our own property with them . From check in to check out, and buying through to completion. They are friendly, helpful, informative and so very easy to talk to and ask those questions you need to ask. The entire staff are amazing , and I would really recommend them , but in particular my thanks go out to Matt, Sallie and Tanya for going above and beyond with their care, due diligence and support. Plus their conveyancing team with Karen were effortless and efficient too.

Charlotte has been very helpful in sorting out a new tenant for us earlier this year at our property in Abingdon. She has communicated with us regularly, giving us updates and confirming that matters were proceeding as we wished. I bought my property through Davis Tate and am now renting it out through Davis Tate. My experience of every single member of the team and also the extended companies they employ has been exemplary. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they genuinely seem to understand how attached one can become to your property. I had an issue with the tenant when I managed my rental property and they only collected the rent, but they were immensely supportive and helpful when they weren't obliged to be. I am now having Davis Tate fully manage my property and would wholeheartedly recommend that if you are in two minds whether or not to self manage in a word âdon'tâ, let Davis Tate deal with it. They are hugely professional and efficient and worth every penny. Sarah Wilson is also superb. She is very wise and thoughtful and an excellent negotiator. I will sell my house through Davis Tate and hope I will be able to buy my ultimate dream home through them.

GoogleWe had excellent service from the Sonning Common and the Goring Office. The marketing and selling of the house was efficient and effective. The real value of the service came later when the staff, and in particular Julie Norman at the Sonning Common office, spent a lot of time and effort monitoring the progress of the houses in the chain towards exchange, "encouraging" them to keep moving forward, and keeping us informed.
