Fantastic agent who knows the local area well and provides a service above and beyond what we expected. Never had to wait long before he responded to questions and he kept us informed the whole way through the process and kept on top of other agents and the solicitors, spotting potential problems and getting the appropriate parties to address them. It is very clear how important his clients are to him and Lee provides a personal service where you're not pushed around different departments and agents. I always felt like we were in safe hands, even as our deadline approached, Lees hard work and attention to detail assured that we made it in time. Really cannot recommend him enough.

We appointed Lee Russell of Davis Tate Woodley as our estate agent recently and were really pleased we did as he has proved to be very competent, trustworthy and reliable. He takes a relaxed but respectful approach when dealing with clients but there is nothing relaxed about his performance. Always on the end of an email or phone he replied to any concerns at all times and we were never left hanging for a response. The fact that you deal only with him is a bonus because he is always fully informed of the state of affairs and able to respond quickly to queries. We were very happy with the sale price we achieved on our house and although we had a few hold ups with the chain, Lee was constantly ‘on it’, chasing up agents and solicitors and driving the process to a positive conclusion. There were a couple of moments when things looked a bit tricky and that’s when having a good agent makes all the difference as he did a really good job of supporting us through that and keeping our confidence high. I would thoroughly recommend Lee - he’s a great agent who works really hard to achieve a good result.

It is often said that moving house is the most stressful event that you will experience. The process is made stressful more often than not, due to the lack of focus, absence of any kind urgency and general sloth of the other parties involved up and down the chain....... I am so pleased that we chose to instruct Lee to sell our property in Woodley. Our choice to use Lee was based partly on a personal recommendation but the fact that after having a chat with him it was abundantly clear that this chap clearly knows the local property market. He also knows the appropriate 'buttons' to push in order to keep the sales process moving along smoothly. Selling our property (which Lee did in five days and we achieved the full asking price) was the easy part. getting the rest of the chain organised into a ship shape fashion was another matter however...... If it wasn't for Lees professionalism, determine and attention to detail it may never have happened at all. He was continuously communicating with the other agents involved and kept me updated at all points. Despite multiple cases of dodgy information and miscommunication amongst various people Lee kept on top of everything and dragged the whole chain, kicking and screaming to the point of exchange. I cannot emphasise enough how satisfying it is to have had the opportunity to recommend Lee. He dealt with us on such a personal level and really wanted to make everything work for us. At least 11 out of 10 as far as I am concerned........

Lee at Davis Tate was recommended to me by 2 separate friends who had recently moved. He was very supportive and on the ball chasing both up and down the chain, checking the viability of our buyer and ensuring communication was always kept open. He was also very good at explaining what needed to be done at various stages in the process and at all times chased and kept us informed. Without him the process would have been much slower He was far more professional and knowledgeable than our sellers agent and prevented a few potential derailings that could have been caused by the other agents ineptitude. For a smooth and informed sale, I would recommend using Lee - he was at all times helpful and professional and helped to make a stressful time (moving in general) more manageable.

As first time buyers we couldn't have received better guidance and service, Davistate were by far one of the best agents we witnessed in the year it took to find our first home, we were very fortunate the house we wanted was being dealt with by Davistate, especially Elanor, from show rounds, to phone calls and to completion Elanor was extremely professional and helpful. We were kept in the loop throughout and she was very patient with our never-ending questions. Although we dealt with Elanor out in the field, when i did have to drop by the Wantage branch, Phil was helpful, polite and informative. Would Definately recommend Davistate as they're one of the best estate agents around.

Lee Russell has been our estate agent for almost a year. He actually found three buyers for our house as part of a saga that has more twists and turns and "will they / won't theys" than the Greek debt crisis! In addition we tried to buy three different houses during the process of selling our house as our purchases kept falling through. Throughout this process Lee was absolutely fantastic. He is friendly, respectful and professional and extremely responsive – replying to e-mails promptly, even those sent late into the evening. When our original purchase was falling through Lee got to work trying to rescue the deal, even communicating with our seller and other people in the chain when the selling agents proved disinterested in helping. Lee is like a dog with a bone when there is a problem and goes to great lengths to look for a solution. He managed to resurrect the deal several times at one particular point with some very impressive negotiating up and down the chain. At all times Lee kept us updated as to progress. Lee was very respectful of the fact that it was our home that we were selling and all that that meant for us as a family. Because Lee works on his own you can be assured that he deals with matter personally which we greatly valued. We have come across a few different estate agents in our time but if all estate agents were like Lee the process of buying and selling houses would be much easier. With Lee there is a refreshing lack of snake oil salesmanship. If you are looking to sell a property in Woodley we do not understand why you would even think about using someone else! We wish Lee and his business well in the future.

This is the second time Lee Russel has sorted the mess other agents left behind, unfortunately I had forgotten the first time and went elsewhere. I started by using another large local company who offered the world, I was passed to pretty useless back office staff after the salesman had me hooked, it was left to Lee to try and fix things.. Eventually, I let Davis Tate sort my sale out. EVERY time I called Lee, he either answered immediately or called back (yes, you may think a basic thing but other agents don't do it). Many times I would email late at night after work, I received emails past 11pm. I'm not saying Lee can sort every problem out, but he made every effort to do whatever he could and kept us informed at all stages of the sale. What Lee also did was chase the WHOLE chain and make sure things kept moving, not just my sale and purchase the WHOLE chain. The estate agent I used to buy my new house in Devon said she wished she could work with Lee as "He is the best agent I have dealt with" (quote). I'm not saying Lee Russel is Superman, but I never saw Lee Russel and Superman in the same room at the same time.

Lee was absolutely fantastic right from day one. He was the most professional of all the estate agents we met with. Within 48 hours he put our property online and sold it. He was very proactive throughout the entire process and also helped us in the purchase of our new home. He definitely went the extra mile. Communication was first rate too.

The team at Davis Tate did a great job of selling our house - the key thing was that they matched only the people who could afford our house and were in a good position to make the purchase - we sold in 2 days! They were always on hand to answer questions, make calls and made every effort to help us find the house we wanted - they were professional and efficient and that is all you can ask. Obviously all estate agents charge a similar fee which is quite a lot but having had our house on the market with other agents a couple of years before without success i really do think that for the peace of mind it is money well spent

We have recently sold our house through Lee Russell, Davis Tate. The service Lee provided went beyond what we expected and he ensured that we were looked after every step of the way. Lee quickly got our house sold and the process was very smooth. Lee did a lot of running around for us, often picking up forms and dropping them to our solicitor to save us trips. The solicitor he recommended was also excellent. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone moving house. He is a very honest and upfront person - exactly what you want when selling or buying a house. All in all, the experience of moving house was less stressful thanks to Lee's attention to detail. Thank you so much.

Lee Russell at Davis Tate Woodley went above and beyond to deliver in my life time of moving experience the most amazing Advice and support throughout what was a long drawn out quite stressful Time. He was always at the end of the phone, keeping me informed and even making calls himself chasing at the other ends of the chain that he should not have had to do had the other agents been doing their job. He even turned up on moving day when a mishap happened with the removal company and spent an hour helping to load the lorry. I can thoroughly recommend Lee as an honest, committed, knowledgable and fantastic Agent., a man that wants to get the job done...
