If you are looking to rent a property please call them as soon as possible, they have an amazing team there, I was offered the best service ever in about 5 years, quick, reliable, easy, and smooth from start to finish, everything took about 4-5 working days to conclude and then just the normal wait time to move in the new house, big shoutout to the team there keep it up, my person of contact there was Hope, big shoutout to her, she handled all the communication and most of the stuff required, she was always helpful and responsive, very nice to deal with, I also dealt with Matthew who showed me around the property, and few other staff members from accounts and other teams, but rest assure you can ask for any of them and they will be amazing to deal with because I visited the office one day and I was offered a warm welcome from everyone there. Having made an offer on my potential new home, Davis Tate have been on the ball and proactively progressing my purchase. In particular I need to mention Matthew Eason, the Didcot Branch Manager. Matthew has ensured that I have been kept updated with the all the latests information. He is very polite and friendly, which puts the customer at ease. Davis Tate have been great from start to finish. Phil came to value my property, 1 of 3 agents in the local area, and gave me honest advice based on my situation. Davis Tate were the only agent to call me a week later to follow up for feedback (a lovely lady) and what my plans were (not just a follow up email). Phil called me 3 months later, about the time I said I'd be looking to put my property on the market, and was the most competitive. Again the only agent to call me. Phil and Hope were great from start (marketing my property) to finish (completing). I particularly liked that my property was 3D photographed so potential buyers had access to that. Phil and Hope were both accessible and quick responders to emails, with any questions or queries I had. Even when I was out of the country for a month, they kept regular contact. I would happily use Davis Tate again for my next property when the time comes.

I've been renting using David Tate for over a year now. We were looking to rent a property and were not in the country yet and David Tate were super helpful over the phone and through email communications. There was nothing hidden by them throughout the entire process. Once we had moved into the property our property manager, Alina Zigmantaviciute-Okechukvu, came around to visit and introduce herself to us incase we had any problems. We have had very few problems but when we did we could contact Alina and she had them resolved straight away. There was one time when we had a problem right as she was finishing her working day and she still resolved the problem for us straight away, and called a few days later to ensure that everything was fixed and back working again. I would highly recommend David Tate in Didcot. I have chatted with a few different members of staff here and they have all been super friendly and helpful

When renting a property, you don't choose the estate agency that is renting it. Well, for sure i would not go for this agency in Didcot. And do not recommend them. We are good tenants, we keep everything clean and would understand if a portion of our deposit was retained for something being broken or not given back in a good state etc. However, we rented a property with Davis Tate and when it came to move out, they tried to steal money from our deposit for no reasons. We spoke to their head office in Reading, to the director of the office branch and set up a former complain. We left the house in excellent state, cleaned it properly and we were told that about 60% of our deposit was to be retained because the cleaning was according to them, not of a professional standard. We left the house in a cleaner state than when we moved it. When we moved in, the washing machine was discusting and we had to spend over 1 hour cleaning it. The wardrobe doors upstairs had yellow stains that took several products to remove etc. There were cowebs, windows were dirty, carpet needed a good hoovering etc. We spent hours cleaning the house when we moved out and made sure the house was in a very good cleaning state. They also said that we had drilled 2 holes in the living room, which was false. We realised that a previous tenant had done these, by looking at old ads of the same property that were still on the web. A mirror had been put there before. This agency in Didcot will try to steal money from you!! We eventually managed to get the full deposit back when we said we would go to small claims. At the condition to not say anything about it all.. . Well, i think it is important to share our experience, whether they like it or not!!

My partner and I are first time buyers and as such we have spoken to a number of different local estate agents. Davis Tate have been head and shoulders above the rest with regards to customer service and general ease of transaction. We have been dealing predominately with David who has been excellent, nothing is too much hassle and he is very quick to respond to questions and action offers. Having said this, we have dealt with Giselle for some viewings who has been very easy to deal with and both are able to simplify the whole house buying situation without making you feel stupid! The virtual viewing option is superb, allows you to understand the layout of the property without needing to actually view. We found having the estate agent on hand to talk us around the property really useful. Not only this, a link to the viewing is sent to you to view at your own leisure and share with family/friends to get some opinions before going for a viewing in person. Having this has really helped us figure out what we want from a property and intern, make a decision on a property offer. Physical viewing of the properties again has been second to none. In current climate they are obviously very Covid-19 aware with hand sanitizing required on entering and exiting the property. Both David and Giselle were great during the viewings. There was not any 'hard sale pitch' from either agent. Instead they allowed us to look around the property at our own pace and were on hand to answer any questions that we had. After viewing it was refreshing that they were not straight on the phone asking what we thought of the properties but allowed us the time to discuss between ourselves. Whilst writing this review I actually received a call from David stating that our offer had been accepted on the property that we wanted. From this point David told us what would be required in terms of various forms of ID. We knocked on the office door with our paperwork and Matt assisted in scanning it all across, again great interaction and service from all at Davis Tate. We would have no hesitation at all on recommending Davis Tate for first time buyers. The process has been clear, simple and painless as possible. David from Davis Tate went above and beyond for us to get this house. It really was an amazing service that was provided. We were going through the Help to buy scheme and it has been the biggest hassle with some of the most nail biting moment we've ever had. Luckily David was on our side, He helped us chase people (Solicitor and Mortgage broker) when they just seemed impossible to contact. Helped us In his own time as we could only view the house on the weekends and if we had any questions about the house he would just pop down there and just check for us. David would always make time and always phone back if we missed him. he was always willing to listen to any concerns and ask around to see if we could resolve these issues. Honestly David Wrigley was the only good part of this whole process, happy, friendly, just wanting to provide a good honest service that wont pressure you into buying, just a genuinely nice person The whole office was always friendly and always a pleasure to visit.

We bought our house in Didcot through Davis Tate. We dealt with Victoria, Matthew, Phil and Hope, and are very grateful for their expertise and amount of time given to visit properties. The lost star comes from the Financial Services company Davis Tate recommended to us: Embrace Financial Services. Maybe my Financial Advisor was overwhelmed at that time, but it resulted in 3 of my emails being overlooked, and some calls not being returned. Had one of those emails been opened at the time I sent it, my mortgage application would have been much more straightforward, less stressful, and I have no doubt the decision would have come earlier that it eventually did. When challenged, my financial advisor got quite defensive, but I'd argue attention to detail was clearly lacking ... Also, I dealt with 3 advisors in the space of a few weeks. So I would definitely not recommend using Embrace Financial Services.

Matthew and the rest of the team at Davis Tate were absolutely brilliant helping us with the sale of our house. We had not moved for over 20 years and were a bit nervous, but they made the whole process very straightforward and put us completely at ease. We feel like they really understood how our home worked and therefore marketed it accurately and suggested it to very suitable potential buyers. This meant the viewings were tailored to people who were actually likely to buy rather than just getting people through the door who just wanted a look round. Their advert was excellent quality and focused on the main features that were the main selling points. The members of the team who showed round potential buyers made a point of all getting to know the house and we are very grateful for the service we received which meant our house sold quickly and painlessly.
