Country wide on Byres road is a shocking lettings for young professionals. Ashton Russel has ignored all of both mine and my flat mates calls and ignored every email sent regarding arrangement to remove furniture from our flat (which we had to do to get our deposit back) however he Did not Reply to any email or return any call to arrange a date. Is this the appropriate conduct for a portfolio manager? Purposely went out his way to make sure we couldn’t get our deposit back. On one occasion my flat mate phoned his office number where he failed to correctly place her on hold and we heard him making snarky comments at a fellow agent for transferring her call to him? Countrywide also arranged to have a contractor re tile our bathroom floor and to do this they had to remove the bathroom door then reconnect it after. Country wide charged us £402 claim For apparently “tampering and damaging door” could two 5ft3 girls really take a door off it’s hinges? Again no reply when I asked him this. For someone working in law I whole heartedly know that there has been mass company negligence in regards to both mine and my flat mates care and financial security.

Myself and my husband have been dealing with countrywide estate agents in Byres Rd since April of this year in regards to a rented property. We have been dealing with Jamie Sidebottom for all of this time. He has been exemplary in his professional and helpful manner. Nothing is too much trouble and he carries out his duties calmly and politely . We had a recent issue regarding the address and Jamie came to our rescue sorting it all out in his usual calm professional way. He is a great asset to the business.

Many thanks to the Countrywide team @ Byres Road for making the letting process very simple and straightforward. Kellie and Jamie provided excellent guidance and support throughout the entire process. Both were very professional and quickly answered all questions. Their industry knowledge is second to none. The landlord online portal makes it very easy to track what's happening with the tenancy. I initially thought the letting process was going to be complicated, but Countrywide made it easy. For a stress free, quick and simple letting process I would highly recommend Countrywide 👍

Poor experience with this letting agent, had a video viewing and moved into a property cleaned to a poor standard with a broken oven, moldy washing machine and utility room, cracked bathroom sink and penetrating damp between the bathroom and wardrobe due to a significant leak in the shower/bath tub. Check out inventory stated the property was cleaned to a good standard yet they deducted £55 for "cleaning" and "damage to property" when responding to the deposit repayment request with no further communication from Countrywide. Landlord/agent clearly trying to make a couple extra ££ on the back of someone who had to leave the UK last minute due to a family emergency. Given my current circumstances I didn't have the time or energy to respond to these petty and frivolous claims. Cannot recommend this agency on this basis.

Wouldn't recommend, won't allow viewings of properties unless you tell them your financial history, mortgage abilities, who your mortgage is with etc, wondering when she was going to ask for my shoe sign and zodiac sign - no other estate agent does this so if you are looking to sell your property, do not use them

I recently viewed a few properties with Countrywide Lettings and ended up applying for all of them as they were amazing, and finally got one property from among those. The Letting agent Suraen who showed me the properties was an extremely kind gentleman, who helped me with all my questions, even when I called him out of hours.
