GoogleSarah at Charters Alresford was a really helpful, friendly and professional estate agent. She did not push us with our decision making or hassle us for feedback, as we experienced with other estate agents during the house buying process. As first time-buyers, we found her very knowledgeable and efficient at answering our questions. Charters Alresford were always available to speak to on the phone and everyone we encountered there gave us a highly personable and professional service. They honoured our requests when we put our offer forward and have been quick to process our purchase so far.

GoogleWhilst we are at the early stages of our house purchase, I am impressed with the service that we have received so far. We have always received a prompt response which is much appreciated when arranging viewings or negotiating a sale. They were generally knowledgeable about the properties we viewed or will endeavour to find out if they do not know the answer to your question. When talking on the phone I always get the impression that they are happy to talk as long as you need which I really appreciate. Overall we have had a very good experience :)

GoogleCharters has been great throughout my long hunt for a home to buy. Liz was wonderful and tried very hard to find me the right house. This took a long time, so I decided to rent through them. Unfortunately my experience as a tenant was very disappointing. Charters very much acts in favour of the landlord and there were several things that were not disclosed to me about the property before I rented it. I could have overlooked these things despite the huge inconvenience and expense they caused, however, at the end of my tenancy Charters informed me that they would be acting for the landlord in an attempt to retain some of my deposit! There was no justifiable reason for any of my deposit to be retained and the landlord should have compensated me for the inconvenience of the situation throughout my tenancy anyway. Thankfully I bought my house through another estate agent in the end.
Dear Sian, We are sorry to learn that you were unhappy with the service received from Charters Lettings after such a positive experience with our sales department. Having reviewed our notes I can see that you experienced a few minor maintenance issues during your tenancy that were dealt with very promptly but it appears that your main complaint was surrounding the return of your deposit. As per legislative requirements we register all deposits with a government approved scheme and handle the return of all deposits in accordance with their guidelines. We are unable to return any monies without both parties consent which protects tenants from unjustified claims. In this instance your landlord requested a small deduction which we informed you of and you did not agree too. You have the opportunity for this to go to independent arbitration via the deposit scheme but have not raised a dispute and we continue to hold these funds safely for you until a decision can be reached. I am sorry again that this has left you viewing Charters lettings negatively but we hope that you will be very happy in your new home.

GoogleGreat Service from Charters Chandlers Ford - Would not hesitate to recommend to friends/family. I specifically dealt with Victoria Richardson and she was amazing. So quick to reply, efficient with everything, and one of the friendliest people I think I've ever met. I first contacted Charters to sell my property because of their reputation of quality service and friendly staff and Victoria personified this reputation perfectly. Of the 6 people who came to view my flat, 5 made offers, showing the quality of their buyers, and we did get asking price for my property. 5 stars!

GoogleWe have found Hayley to be very professional & commited to finding our forever home in the Alton area. We are constantly updated quickly with any new properties that come on the books in our desired area and she always has suggestions for areas we haven't considered. Should we ever be in a position to selking in the area Hayley would most definitely be our first call.

GoogleThroughout the process Charters have been extremely helpful and easy to work with. Bookings have been arranged with a decent amount of notice and feedback was usually provided in less than 1 working day. Following a successful offer on our property 1.5 months into working with Charters, they continued to add value by helping negotiate our chain deal to ensure all buyers in the process were happy. Out of the 3 houses down my road for sale (each with their own estate agent), we have been on the market to shortice and have had an accepted offer the quickest. The rate was fairly competive, although some were cheaper. That being said its easily negated by the fast sale we recieved. 5 Stars.
