GoogleJames and the team at the Chesham branch have been absolutely amazing throughout the sale of my mum's house. Being elderly, it could have been a very difficult process for herespecially during C-19 times, but they went above and beyond any expectations. There were regular emails and phone calls to keep us up to date and make sure we were doing ok, they responded swiftly to any communication and were extremely patient and friendly throughout. GoogleDuring our house move process, we encountered a lot of stumbling blocks and pushbacks and particularly as first time buyers we required some guidance through the process. Brown & Merry (and particularly James) were outstanding at dealing with our queries, our frustrations and our concerns as quickly as possible with a genuine understanding of how best to help us and keep us informed. With Covid-19 restrictions, our conversation was over the phone while Beth shared her screen. This made the whole process very transparent and Beth guided me through it in a clear, accessible way. GoogleBrown and Merry have been so helpful, particularly our mortgage advisor, Beth Stanbridge. After shopping around it was no question, she was the most on the ball mortgage advisor we spoke to, and so we chose to go with her, and we haven't looked back! Especially as a first time buyer, we felt a bit like we didn't know what we were doing, but any questions we've had Beth has been able to answer clearly and quickly for us, and I have felt as if we've been in safe hands throughout. GoogleVery poor at responding. Rarely phoned back when they promised, despite numerous complaints about exactly that point. Seemed very hands off through the process between sale acceptance and exchange of contracts. Very ineffective at progressing the chain and communicating status. Cited being 'very busy' during this period, but were unwilling to reduce the value of their invoice to reflect the poor service experiencedNegativeResponsiveness
