Ethan has been a huge help throughout the whole process. He was always available when we had questions and explained everything clearly, which made getting our mortgage a lot less stressful. He also gave us really useful advice while we were looking for a house and put a lot of effort into finding us the best mortgage rate, even working late to get things sorted when needed. Ethan has been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process of buying our home and getting our mortgage sorted. As first-time buyers, there was a lot we didn’t know, and he took the time to guide us through everything, answer all our questions and give us advice whenever we needed it. He helped us find the right property, secured us the best mortgage rate he could, and was always incredibly responsive. He even worked late when needed to make sure everything was dealt with quickly. We always felt like he genuinely had our best interests in mind. We couldn’t have asked for a better mortgage advisor and would happily recommend Ethan to anyone looking to buy a home.

Credit where credit is due! My parents have recently found their dream house in Devon and needed to act quickly to make the move happen. From first contact with Matthew he understood the urgency to get their house up on the market and to try and generate a quick sale that financially worked for them so as they could have an offer accepted on the house in Devon. After 46 years in our family home it is a hugely emotional move for them. Hannah and Maisie met them and talked through the open day, which they tailored to ensure only serious buyers who were already in a position to move were shown around. The open day was a huge success and offers came in. Both Hannah and Maisie have been on hand to answer any questions and guide my parents through the process smoothly and at pace to ensure that they are always in position for the next stages, all the time Matthew has been in contact to ensure everything is going as hoped for. They are currently SSTC, surveys arranged on all properties and all paperwork up to date so fingers crossed a completion date will soon be given. From first meeting with Matthew, up till now, has currently been just over 5 weeks so with a bit of luck we could see completion before 12 weeks 🤞 I cannot thank Matthew, Hannah and Maisie enough for their professionalism, friendly, sympathetic and engaging support along the way so far. We would 100% recommend Leighton Buzzard’s Brown & Merry team. Hopefully we will be able to work with them again when we make our own move down to Devon in the near future too! Ryan Horne

Luke has been the most brilliant support throughout our long and very stressful journey of buying our first home. From the first conversation we had with him he has been supportive, reassuring and has gone above and beyond. He supported us in all aspects of our purchase, not only the mortgage side. He helped chase solicitors and estate agents. He was on hand to deal with any question no matter how silly it felt to ask, and eased our anxieties throughout. He organised our house and life insurance and helped us work out a monthly budget. He also kept a close eye on the market once we had arranged our mortgage offer and ended up getting us a better deal which saved our purchase in the long run. Luke, wow what can we say you deserve more than 5 stars! From day dot you were amazing you helped throughout the horrific journey we had with our first time buying a property. You made everything so smooth and helped when you really didn’t have to but that help meant so much to us! We wish we went with Brown and Merry for our purchase but unfortunately the house we wanted was through another agent but I could tell you for sure we would of never had the experience we did from the other agent if we went with Brown and Merry as everyone there at the Leighton branch is just wonderful. As a self-employed first time buyer, I had a lot of questions and concerns so I was lucky to find Luke as a mortgage advisor. He was patiant, knowledgable, and took the time to go through all my financing options in great detail to help me understand and figure out what would be the best. I hadn't expected a mortgage advisor to be there for the entire buying process and it was very reassuring to know I had someone to answer my questions. It also worked well that, being in the same office, Luke could liase with the sales team at Brown and Merry and pass information through quickly.
