Cannot speak highly enough of Jodie at the Aylesbury branch. Was recently relocating back to Aylesbury for work and looking for a good rental property, and Jodie was absolutely amazing in organising online viewings and sorting all the necessary paperwork for me. Amir at Brown & Merry had a very firm idea on how to sell my house. His valuation was spot on, his enthusiasm for my somewhat unique property was plain to see, and his prediction for how long it would take to sell was very accurate once the buyer committed. Amir made a point of bringing his staff to see the property, and so I knew that I was in the hands of a team of people dedicated to selling my house. I could talk to Amir, Lucy, Scarlett or Charlie at any time during the selling process and get an answer to my query easily. They are all professional, polite, and of good nature, a pleasure to know. Amir looked after me from beginning to end, right up to exchange and completion, progressing my sale with the whole chain - quite a skill. Our experience of Brown & Merry in Berkhamsted is a very definite 5 stars. We bought and sold with them, experiencing the amazing team’s ability to manage both transactions. We didn’t make life easy for them as we got cold feet and pulled out of our sale, only to realise we had made a big mistake. Amir brokered a meeting with our buyer, doing what he does best which is managing relations between buyers and sellers. For this he is a total and utter professional and I cannot rate him highly enough. The team in Berkhamsted are wonderful, from Lucy who helped us through the initial stages of valuing our property to Charlie who found us our buyer from their list of buyers before going live! Scarlette has been great with communication in between all of this. As I’m hoping this review shows, we rate Brown and Mary extremely highly and have recommended them to friends who now have their property on the market with them! Their location on the High Street is a bonus, but I think their real skill is good old fashioned service coupled with many years of experience.

All the team at Brown and Merry Berkhamsted were very good at making our house sale happen, in particular Amir the Senior Branch Manager. Their valuation proved accurate and their commission charge was very competitive. Although our lengthy chain broke down Amir worked very hard to repair it and achieve an eventual exchange of contracts, particularly in the week before exchange happened. I used Amir and his team after a positive experience of them as a buyer when helping a family member to purchase a couple of years ago. As a purchaser I was politely vetted to ensure I was serious and able to proceed and they checked I was acting promptly to progress the sale and suggested ways I could do this without coming across as overbearing. This time as a seller I was kept well informed. I felt the market appraisal I got was honest and the finding of a buyer went in the way it was proposed. The progress to completion of the sale was handled efficiently. When there were some delays further down the chain that could have held things up a lot Amir was available to talk through progress and in my opinion did as much as was possible to get the parties in the chain moving to what was ultimately a sale completion at the agreed price. I think we got very good service. I would highly recommend Amir and his team at Brown Merry Berkhamsted.

Amir was always positive and approachable, always quickly returning call, and his team were always polite and communicative. We completed on a house purchase today where Brown & Merry were acting as the selling agent. The service we had from the whole team from first contact, to viewing, to sales progression was exemplary. Our huge thanks go to Amir, Scarlette and Charlie in particular who were all fantastic to deal with. It's a common cliché, but in this case I am quite sure true, that this transaction would never have happened without Amir. We were in a long chain, that was beset by delays and problems, with multiple issues caused by unresponsive parties, third party issues with other properties in the chain that took months to resolve (and on more than one occasion we were convinced were going to cause the chain to fall through, so much so that we had our own agent ready to remarket), and eventually had to exchange and complete on consecutive working days due to a mixture of other restrictions - Amir showed in these moments the true value of an estate agent who really knows how to get things done. He has an extremely wide network of contacts within the region, and was able to make direct connections with other solicitors, agents and mortgage brokers acting for parties several rungs down the chain. He is a brilliant communicator - responsive and persistent, but also realistic and pragmatic. He was able to drive progress and relay information between parties across the whole chain, not just the particular link that he was directly responsible for, and despite everything, he got us over the finish line. As a buyer, we could not have lucked out on a better agent for our transactions. I would certainly recommend them to anybody looking for properties in the Berkhamsted area.
