GoogleSuperior service! Despite the volatile climate the market is presenting, Bourne has succeeded within THREE weeks to source a number of relevant clients to view my property. A fair price in line with their initial guidance has been agreed this week and I couldn't be more delighted! Adam and Jordan have worked extremely hard from the outset to market my property in a timely and professional fashion. GoogleI must express my extreme dissatisfaction with the support and management provided by Bourne. As tenants, we were transferred from a different agency, only to find Bourne woefully inadequate in meeting even the most basic needs. For instance, we have been waiting for over three months for a damaged wall, a delay exacerbated by a previous leak. It seems we must constantly chase them for actions they should be proactively managing. When confronted about their delays, they are nothing short of deceptive. This lack of transparency is appalling. Their professionalism is severely lacking. I would strongly advise against renting from Bourne, as they will undoubtedly make your life difficult.

GoogleWe rented a place from Bourne in December of 2023. All reference checks passed and rent paid on time every time with no issue all the way to the end of the contract. We would often be sent multiple emails about inspections and visits but again had no issue and they did not raise any issues also. At the end of the contract we were moving away. Again, multiple requests for viewings a few with less than 24 hours notice were sent our way. We did not cause trouble and allowed these. We left on the 14th of December 2024. To this day, they have been repeatedly ignoring our requests for the deposit to be returned (now over a month), when we were compliant. Instead, they were quick to carry out the exit inventory and class many surfaces as dirty and untidy, saying that deductions would be made. I sent them photos taken on the first day of check-in(also in the first inventory check) of the absolutely filthy appliances and surfaces that they left. A few photos attached and I even told Bourne I could show them the metadata so they can see when the photos were taken-they did not respond. They could not claim it from anyone else and now want to claim it from us, even though we had even left them in a better condition. I raised those points with Georgie and Jessica and also told them if they tried to help, I would not have to reach out here. It’s been a whole working week and no response at all, nor have they substantiated on any deductions. I would not go for them again. They expect you to jump through hoops for them and then choose not to carry out their own responsibility. If you want to go through this trouble to get your deposit back and have to clean after other tenants’ mess and then pay for it as well, go with them. Currently in the process of contacting the Deposits Agency for the dispute process.

GoogleRented a place through Bourne for a year and the house was given to us with cobwebs around, crumbs in the fridge, unwiped cabinets with some nasty non-slip silicon lining at the bottom, and a very mould-prone storage room (all stated in the check-in report). We never really complained about these things and then at the end when we moved out they raised all the existing issues with us and are still trying to deduct it all from our deposits. Additionally, we have repeatedly requested updates on the return of the deposits only to get ignored every time. It has already been over a month and we haven’t heard back from the landlord or the agents. I do not recommend at all. Stay away and save yourself the trouble.

GoogleI have recently just completed a sale on my late Grand mothers house. After having 3 valuations back in the summer, i decided to appoint Shane Bray at Bourne, i felt his evaluation of the property was fair (not the highest), his fee was fair ( not the cheapest) and most of all i felt i could trust him and his team. After a busy successful launch day on the property, the team found me a choice of buyers, and the sale went through with the teams constant progression early November. I could not have done this without Shane and his team, they were exceptional through a very difficult time. Bourne really are fantastic, thank you all.

Unethical and I highly question the integrity of their conduct. A bunch of children who don't ever seem to know what they're doing. They draw close to the line with how they do business and seem rather willing to tell quite significant lies and manipulate people. Filthy business to be frank and forthcoming. Not worth the deep level of toxicity.

Awful company that should be avoided whatever you do. In fact, I'm certain their conduct isn't law abiding and is at best highly questionable and unethical. They exploit tenants, lie, and harass tenants all because "they work for the landlord not the tenant". Then continue to treat grown adults like inconvenient cash cows that they are most ready to belittle, degrade and harass, even though the rent was always paid early and we were great tenants who kept the place very well. Not worth the mistreatment and having to constantly remind them that they are dealing with grown adults not children. Truly, avoid at all costs.

GoogleLooking at several agents, bourne were my favoured one after getting open and honest comments on my property. Ayisha came and valued the property and had come up with a great plan on how to sell the property, her photos and description got the property sold upon the first viewing (less than 3 working days). I was shocked at how quick Ayisha got it sold, compared to previous estate agents I have experienced. Then the whole process with Jim and the rest of the team was smooth sailing. Communication and honesty was key to the sale and they were spot on. Would use Bourne again for selling and recommended to my previous neighbours.

GoogleVery disappointing experience at Bourne. I recently had a viewing booked in for 5.45pm, and having travelled for over an hour to make it, the agent didn't have the means to enter the property. I found this to be disrespectful and utterly unprofessional. It is possible that, due to circumstances, accessing the property may not always be possible. However, a simple phone call or any form of proactive communication to inform me beforehand would have demonstrated a basic level of respect and professionalism. This lack of consideration has left me deeply disappointed and questioning whether I can trust this agency to handle any future dealings efficiently.
After reviewing our records, it appears that the viewing was cancelled in writing prior to the appointment from yourself. We’re unsure if there may have been a misunderstanding, but we would love the opportunity to discuss this further and clarify any miscommunication. GoogleRecently sold and then bought a house via Bourne Godalming and couldn’t recommend them enough! Having tried to find a property via other agents unsuccessfully I had initially been concerned we might not be able to move but Shane at Bourne was a complete breath of fresh air. He proactively sought out the right house for us taking into consideration all of our requirements and vice versa with a buyer for ours. He was incredibly helpful throughout, always acting in our best interest and giving us advice along the way which was very appreciated in what can be a rather stressful life event. If anyone is looking to work with an agent that you can trust and makes the process quick and pain free then would recommend them.
