I can’t thank the team at Bourne Estate Agents in Woking enough for all their hard work in getting our house sold. It was a long journey, but Ross and Sean were fantastic, always persistent, thorough, and kept us updated every step of the way. Their patience and attention to detail really made the difference. Also, a big thank you for recommending the removers; they were great and made the move so much easier. Highly recommended if you’re looking to buy or sell in Woking!

Steve Ryan and his team have been amazing since the beginning. I met Katrina (or might have been Katherine) back in 2023 doing letter dropping for selling properties and she was so helpful and impressive I got in touch with Steve and he provided the most professional, compassionate and insightful service. When my late husband passed away, it was Bourne I went to without hesitation to sell my property. They listened to me and reassured me every step of the way. I got more for my property than I thought I would and they followed through with what they said they could deliver. It happened quickly and at every turn I felt looked after. The after care has been great too. I can’t recommend them enough - they are honest, genuine, trustworthy and lovely people too. Best estate agents I’ve ever come across! Honestly hands down David Lowther from the Alton branch has restored my faith in human nature .This man has acted so professionally,so kind and so outstanding in helping when issues have occurred within my mum’s property during the selling process .As I don’t live local David kept me informed every step of the way including resolving clearance local workman to fix a leak &flooring along with a gardener the company use.On top of this he liaised constantly between buyer ,seller &solicitor.His work ethic was exceptional .Yesterday we exchanged 😀.Without David this would not of happened.Thank you truly from the bottom of our hearts .

Fantastic service

Having bought my property through Bourne in 2022, I had no hesitation in using them for my house sale 3 years later. The Farnham branch of Bourne have been excellent throughout the process of selling my house. However I'd like to single out Rebecca, who was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. She kept me updated at every stage, and remained reassuring and calm during a lengthy and sometimes difficult and stressful process. I always felt supported by Rebecca, and always appreciated her being truthful with me. In my view, the best Estate Agent in Woking!

From the first call to them at the Woking office they were highly professional. They came out to the property and had clearly done their research! We asked 3 agents to value our property and Bourne were the only ones to come along with extensive, relevant market data, a well thought out marketing plan based on our actual situation and they suggested a sale price higher that the other agents (and they got what they said they would for us). All in all, an exceptional experience at the same charges as the other agents. Excellent communications at all levels and at all times, just a really really good experience - happy to recommend them to anyone!

multiple fire safety measures not met- had to leave after 4 months

Unfortunately, I rented a flat from Bourne and had to leave just 4 months after moving in as I discovered through my own investigating that there was multiple safety requirements not met. When I raised this with Bourne they showed no urgency, understanding or concern. Like the landlord, it's clear they have no idea of the regulations put in place to keep people safe. They allowed me to rent the flat knowing it wasn't properly registered as a residential property, which meant I had no bin collections and was unable to get wifi without paying business rates. The landlord let me surrender the tenancy, I'd assumed this was so the work that needed to be done would take place but presumably not as the flat was re-let just a couple of weeks later. Overall a very disappointing experience, other than Elarose who seemed to be the only one with real compassion and prompt email responses.

I live in West Sussex and having to sell a property in Guildford was not easy. Fortunately I was recommended to Bourne Estate Agents. I'm so pleased that I took this recommendation. The office in Guildford is welcoming and both my wife and I were warmly greeted by Alex Bulpitt. We explained that this was to be an executors sale and that we knew little of the procedures and what was to be expected. Alex immediately put us at ease and explained the whole process to us in detail. He said that he and his team would always be there for us and keep us updated on the sale progession. He kept his word. Alex and the team were exemplary. The sale progressed quite speedily and Alex achieved full asking price for us. Very highly recommended.

Attention Foreign Nationals: Avoid This CompanyA year ago, when I was searching for a house to rent and was new to the UK, I didn’t have the required references. I told the agents I would pay an entire year of rent upfront to bypass the reference check and I was on a very tight moving schedule with only slightly more than two weeks to move.Despite my offer to pay upfront and my lack of references, it took them more than a week to process the reference check, which ultimately achieved nothing. I was forced to pay an additional £2,000 to the removal company due to the last-minute arrangements.Now, a year later, this company is demanding that I return the property in pristine condition, free from any wear and tear. They are treating a minor stain on the basin as damage and have even called an electrician for a lamp cover that only needed a simple adjustment to the lamp cover.This company's behavior reflects sheer greed and unprofessionalism.To anyone from abroad, particularly those from Hong Kong with substantial cash resources, do not grant them any leniency. There is no reason to be accommodating with them; they are profiting from you whether you are a tenant or a buyer.Best is avoid this company at all costs.Feb.2025 UPDATEI wasn’t going to name names, but since they’re pushing out the usual “due procedure” excuses, let’s be clear. Their sales/property manager, Ross, told me, "If you don’t want to rent the house, that can be arranged." This was less than a week before my tenancy was set to start. Completely unprofessional and dismissive.Now, a year and a half later, over six months after moving out, I still haven’t received my full deposit back due to a dispute. As expected, this company sided with the landlord who pays them, rather than being fair. Even after TDS stepped in, they did nothing to release the undisputed portion of my deposit, until I explicitly warned them I would file a complaint. Suddenly, they started "processing it."Avoid this company at all costs. They do not act in the tenant’s best interest and will drag out deposit returns for as long as possible.

Poor service with Trading Standard violations

So i called this agency like 5 times for 5 diferent properties, none of them were available but the ads says just added, so this is illegal and misleading which violates Trading Standards, its basically phishing with fake adds that are no loger available to get free marketing in a way, so i have submited 3 ads to Trading Standards ombudsman for these misleading posts, and already dicussed with legal advisor who can confirm its against the trading standards and illegal.

I had a very disappointing experience with Bourne Estate Agency. While everything was smooth during our stay at the property, the issues began after we vacated. We left the property on the agreed date, handed over the keys properly, and fulfilled all expectations set by both the landlord and the agency. However, it has now been nearly 3, 4 months, and we have still not received our deposit back. We have repeatedly reached out via email to request updates and an estimated timeline, but have received little to no meaningful response. Most of the time, we only get automated replies stating that the concerned person is not in the office. This level of communication and lack of accountability is extremely frustrating. If someone is unavailable, there should be a proper system in place to handle tenant concerns this is not something tenants should have to deal with. As per UK regulations, deposits should be returned within a reasonable timeframe after the tenancy ends, which has clearly not been the case here. Overall, I am very disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience.
