After a view very professional service from an efficient gentleman called Khai, I've had to update my review from 5 stars to 1 star. I just dealt with Gizem, who was unwilling to move on a small late payment fee of less than £20 due to a direct debit not being set-up correctly. My bill was paid in full during that call and I apologised for the mistake. As such, I will be cancelling my annual storage with Big Yellow at a lost revenue to them of £2,500+. Foolish business decision making from an unflexible person who does not value repeat revenue. Gizem also put the phone down on me once the payment was made and didn't give me a chance to confirm when the account was up to date. If you work for a large business and do not care about your customers, like Gizem, then the business will suffer in the long term. I would not recommend Big Yellow due to Gizem's poor customer service.

Prices are ok, compared to competitors. Staff is friendly and promptly provided all info I required. Insurance cost is a bit high. Overall experience is 4 stars.

Easy process to book Very easy to access. Pretty busy during the week. Only negative point the roadway has potholes everywhere not great for your suspension or when you carry fragile items

Had to take time out to write a review for Ibrahim and his team including Gizem, Lisa, Kat, Khai & Harry. Hope I got their names right - but have only praise for this team. I was personally very disappointed with the way business was carried out from what I thought was one of the leading storage companies. While the customer service received from Ayun was very good, and he did offer me a slightly bigger unit for the same price, I couldn't get over the huge amount of hidden costs incurred that I wasn't expecting. While I have since found the small print that very vaguely says you must budget for insurance, deposit and padlock, I have looked back over all the information sent to me and it's actually extremely difficult to get any vague information about what the overall cost will be. All I have is multiple emails telling me about the rental cost alone for one week (£18.50), deceptively making it seem like you've got a good deal, so of course it was a surprise to walk in and be asked to pay £167 on to my card. Now of course I accept that a deposit must be paid but it was not made clear at all, nor that the first 4 weeks rent had to be paid upfront. Personally I will never be using the service again just from the shock of this experience. I think most people would agree that making costs very clear upfront is absolutely vital to good customer experience. Can't stand this sneaky way of doing business. Extremely disappointing.
