I found the whole procedure of booking a locker very quick and easy online. All the staff are very friendly and patiently explain the in's and outs of placing items in storage and the cost is broken down and very easy to understand. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the whole place and great security. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to store their items and have a piece of mind of the safety and security of this place You can go in and out anytime during opening hours either to take things out or put in.

Brilliant customer service. Very efficient, so easy to check in and out. Room was perfect. Easy payment. Didn’t worry about safety at all, very secure. Michelle was particularly helpful! Brilliant :)

Immediately greeted by Michelle in the Poole store upon entering. Who asked our names and subsequently addressed us as such creating a more personal experience. Brilliantly conversational, appearing genuinely interested in our needs and in making sure we got the best space for our needs. Given a tour of the facilities and informed us of extended access hours, access to trollies, letting us know it’s ok to reverse up to the building to make unloading easier. Basically put all concerns to rest and answered all questions happily. Offered assistance when we move in. Quickly sent a follow up email with itinerary and pricing etc. Store was clean and had effective displays for additional storage materials such as boxes and packing materials and we were asked if we would require boxes etc for our storage uses. Made sure to let us know of the offers such as 8 weeks half price. Overall a really pleasant And impressive experience.

The process was very straight forward from reservation to check in. Although the check in function online had a little glitch that did not allow me to complete the check in,Nathan at the storage facility was very accomodating and performed this in person instead. Nathan explained all the procedures in detail and clearly which made the process of moving one that little bit easier!

Big Yellow needs to be more transparent about what they charge. They advertise low prices but then hit you with a high so called insurance cost. They'll also make you buy their own padlock as your own is never secure enough. Won't be using them again.

The storage service seems fine so far. The reason I'm giving two stars is that the people working behind the desk at reception were not wearing masks. There were other people not wearing masks who were working in the reception area in front of and to the side of the desk. We're in the middle of a pandemic - this is not okay! There is a shield between the customer and the people working at the desk, however there is a big gap in the shield to pass paperwork. This gap obviously would allow easily transmission of Corona - it's airbourne! Also, part of checking in, requires spending a lot of time close to the gap in the shield, to sign the forms on the tablet. Ideally all workers in the Big Yellow, but especially in the confined space of the reception area, should be wearing masks at all times. Also, ideally, the tablet which you need to use to sign forms, would not be right next to/in front of the gap in the shield between customers and the people working behind the desk and/or would be further away from the desk, to reduce the risk of transmission. Also, although customers are asked to wear masks, as the virus is airborne, if it lands in your eyes, it can cause infection. Or if it lands on your skin and you later touch your face. This is why it's so important that everyone in Big Yellow - including the workers - wears masks at all times. Please make your workplace more corona secure, especially now we're in the second wave!
