GoogleWas able to book a unit at short notice, staff friendly, all very secure, they have trolleys and lifts making it all easy, great accessibility times even out of hours. Very pleased with the service so far
3/5
GoogleThe staff were helpful enough, but the lifts were both out of order. We were on the top floor, and finished up getting stuck in the lift for 20 minutes. There is only a narrow fire escape staircase, impossible to carry large items up it safely. Please rectify this soon.

Hello Jeffrey Thank you for your review and we apologies for yesterday’s inconvenience you experienced with the lifts at our Colchester store. One of them is now working normally and the other is being attended to. Thank you The Big Yellow Team

GoogleVery good storage in Chester. Much better for out of hours access, plenty of trolleys etc so very well set up. Not the cheapest option but probably the best locally.

GoogleABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT service by Big Yellow Self Storage (Chester) Jeff Banks. Quick responses via email by Jeff Banks and his excellent service made a difficult situation into an extremely easy one. My son studies at the University of Chester, during the national lockdown he had to return home to Los Angeles. Since the University year is finished we had to find storage for my son's belongings and we are over 8000 miles away. Jeff Banks sorted it all out for us to have storage available, and was able to authorize University personnel to move my son's belongings into Big Yellow Self storage in Chester. A big worry initially but communicating with Jeff Banks made it all seem like we were actually there in Chester. Emailing was done at hours which suited both our time zones (us being 8 hours behind GMT). So all THANKS to Jeff for making it so easy and worry free. I am a business owner and good employees are extremely hard to find, Big Yellow Self Storage (Chester) count yourselves extremely fortunate to have someone like Jeff representing you, he is an asset to the company.
