Although we encountered a few delays from the other solicitors, I appreciate Steven's prompt action in addressing these issues. His ability to resolve complications swiftly was invaluable. GoogleWe are in the process of selling our first home and buying our second home and the process with Urban and Rural Ampthill has been nothing short of seamless. The team there are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. A special to mention to Amy, as-well as Harvey and Pete who have taken us to endless viewings and always been at the end of the phone. Moving house can be a stressful process, but so far this journey has been far from that!

Contacted via email through their contact form and even contacted the local branch multiple times with someone telling me no one is available and to leave a number and they will get someone to contact me. been a couple of weeks no response. Wouldn't hold your breath waiting for these lot. By the time and IF they ever get back to you the property your looking for will probably be sold! Poor experience and definitely wouldn't recommend

GoogleWe would like to thank Tommy very much at urban& rural Ampthill for helping us find our dream home.He was very professional and had great communication skills which was important to us as we had not purchased a property for over 40years .So was unsure of the process and the modern way of doing things with technology etc.I would highly recommend him & urban &Rural especially for those of an older generation that might need that extra help .we felt that he really cared about what we wanted and he is an assest to your company. GoogleMy first interactions were with Adam at the MK branch. He was professional, answered all my quesions and listened to my preferences regarding marketing the property. He also took some great photos and was happy to include some of mine on the marketing literature. The property was sold with just three viewings and most of my subsequent interactions were with Steven. His communications were friendly and informative. He provided regular helpful updates on progress, liaising with me, my solicitor and the buyer's solicitor as necessary. Both he and Adam responded swiftly to emails (typically the same day) and I was very pleased with the service provided by Urban and Rural. I will not hesitate to use them again, especially as other neighbours who sold properties with different agents had far less favourable experiences.

GoogleExcellent first meeting with Brad who explained everything clearly and gave us a realistic valuation followed by very promptly organising photos to be taken and getting our house on the market very quickly! We then had no shortage of viewings which was great! Excellent communication via WhatsApp regarding viewings and offers etc. It was stressful at times, as being in a chain meant often waiting on other people and their solicitors but we were so impressed with how Fin was so pro-active in chasing further up the chain, and keeping us in the loop at all times. This helped relieve some of the stress and finally got us to exchange and completion! I would definitely recommend Urban and Rural to anyone looking to sell their property :)

GoogleRecently sold our house in Bletchley and we invited 4 local estate agents for valuation and to discuss why we should use them to sell our property. We thought we were satisfied with the 1st agent we saw, the 2nd and 3rd didn't compare, but we went ahead with our 4th meeting which happened to be Urban and Rural. Brad blew the others out the water, it wasn't even close. He didn't come at us with a hard sell (unlike one of the other firms), Brad just came across as very knowledgeable and trustworthy, he was confident in his local knowledge and demonstrated this well with examples of other recent sales. There was no BS, just honest opinion of our house vs others and we had a very sensible conversation about what we could expect in terms of offers. 3 of the 4 valuations we received were quite similar, with Urban and Rural anticipation a slightly higher price than the others. One agent was significantly lower and these were also the ones who were very pushy to get our business. Once we accepted an offer, the team didn't just fade away and let the conveyancer handle things, they communicated incredibly well throughout the process and were instrumental in helping things along. Our sale process was very slow and drawn out but without the help of Fin and the team I have a strong suspicion that the sale would have fallen through with a lesser agent involved. I have nothing but praise for the team at the Bletchley branch and I'm very glad we decided to sell our house with them. I've already recommended them to friends who are looking to sell as I truly believe they will give the best possible service. Huge thank you to Brad, Fin, Steve, Molly, Sam and anyone else in the team who was involved in our sale. Superb service, highly recommended!!

GoogleI tried to buy a house from them, but my initial mortgage application was delayed by two months after being flagged. I eventually found another lender, and everything was going smoothly, until they suddenly sold the house to another buyer in the middle of the process. They could have been upfront and told me there was another offer before my mortgage application, but they weren’t honest about it. It was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend buying or selling with them.

The vendor was fully aware of the circumstances around your mortgage application and, after months of delays and uncertainty, had reasonable concerns about your ability to secure funding. You were informed that due to the prolonged process, the property would be remarketed, and that there was always a possibility it could be sold to another buyer. While we appreciate that you eventually found a new lender, the vendor ultimately made the decision to proceed with a more secure offer. We understand your frustration, but it’s important to be clear: there was no dishonesty. The situation evolved based on the facts at hand and the risks involved. We thought about selling our property around March 2024 and after a property we liked had already sold, the team at Urban and Rural were patient with us while we tried to find the perfect house. Fast forward to December and we did. We informed them in early January and 10 days later our house sold. I want to specifically thank Paul, Tracey and Amy. Paul is approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and transparent about what the housing market has to offer. Tracey was brilliant at keeping in touch after the sale and informed us of the process of post sale as we had never done this before. Amy had been great at booking in viewings to ensure our house had the attention in needed to sell. Most of all, all 3 were human. Thank you to you all for the lovely conversations while going through this process. I was pregnant at the time and because of you 3, I did not feel stressed at any point. I would highly recommend using Urban and Rural 😌
