Disappointing Experience and Lack of Support As first-time sellers, we made it clear from the start that we would need extra support and clear explanations throughout the process. Despite being reassured this would be provided, the service didn’t match what was promised. Key parts of the contract were not properly explained before the property went live, which left us unsure about important terms and responsibilities. Communication was inconsistent throughout. Although emails were being replied to, our actual questions were often left unanswered, which made the process even more confusing. Several avoidable issues during viewings added unnecessary stress. There were also delays caused by poor follow-up on the buyer’s mortgage situation, very limited contact after the sale fell through, and missed commitments regarding marketing or refreshing the listing. Even simple matters, like sorting out the “For Sale” sign, were not handled proactively. Choosing this estate agent cost us nothing but stress. After this unpleasant experience, we moved to a different Agent who immediately showed that the level of support, communication, and professionalism we needed can be delivered. If you’re looking for proper support and clear communication, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Amazing! bought my first property through Urban and Rural. No pushy sales when I viewed the property. They always respond extremely fast via email. They were always happy to help with an query or question, no matter how big or small. Steven always kept me updated throughout the process with how the sale was going and also chased things on my behalf, which was extremely helpful as I wouldnt have wanted the hassle of doing that myself. Thank you to Maheib for supporting the sale along the way. I hear many horror stories about estate agents, so it is obvious that Urban and Rural stand out as being above the rest. 100% would recommend

Urban and Rural and specifically Jonathan Blake has been our managing agent for our property in MK for a few months now. Jonathan helped us with listing the property, marketing and then eventually finding a tenant and now also manages the property for us. Jonathan did a really good job with quickly turning around the property from the time to market - to the tenants moving in which was brilliant. Overall, it has been nothing short of a fantastic experience dealing with Jonathan. He and the rest of his team are thorough professionals and absolutely wonderful to deal with . I had some not-so-great experiences in the past dealing with estate agencies and so was initially very apprehensive. However, Jonathan has really changed my perception and brings such a breath of fresh air and integrity to his role, and I couldn’t be more pleased and grateful for the support we’ve had. Jonathan takes accountability always, is very approachable and is proactive in dealing with issues. I couldn’t recommend Jonathan Blake and Urban and Rural high enough.

After a great experience buying our house through Urban & Rural, we went back to sell with them again a few years later. Adam was extremely professional putting the house on the market, very personable and took great photos. In 24 hours of being up for sale we had sold for full asking price. Although there has been some bumps along the way, Urban & Rural were always helpful and great to deal with. The whole team was friendly, professional, and genuinely on the ball throughout the entire process. What really stood out was their post-sales team. My first interactions were with Adam at the MK branch. He was professional, answered all my quesions and listened to my preferences regarding marketing the property. He also took some great photos and was happy to include some of mine on the marketing literature. The property was sold with just three viewings and most of my subsequent interactions were with Steven. His communications were friendly and informative. He provided regular helpful updates on progress, liaising with me, my solicitor and the buyer's solicitor as necessary. Both he and Adam responded swiftly to emails (typically the same day) and I was very pleased with the service provided by Urban and Rural. I will not hesitate to use them again, especially as other neighbours who sold properties with different agents had far less favourable experiences.

From the very first time I contacted U&R for the first viewing until the very end when getting the keys they have been very friendly and helpful. From my point of view they have been different from other estate agent. Phone calls get answered promptly! Someone will be handy and would know how to help and give right information. Having recently sold through Urban & Rural, MK branch, I can honestly say they are the best estate agents I have ever dealt with. It was a breath of fresh air when they took over the sale of my house after months of it sitting on the market. They achieved a sale within a week. Switched to U&R after viewings via our then agent had dried up. We were told a high percentage of people buying in MK were from London and the northern home counties and listings went on local are websites as well as the usual ones. Listing went live on a Wednesday, sold the next day. The post-sale process to exchange and completion was pretty well stress-free leaving other parties to provide the problems! Would most definitely recommend.

Recently sold my house through U&R. They were very competitively priced and my house was listed, viewed (by a host of potential buyers) and sold within 48 hours. However, the sale proved very laborious; unresponsive solicitors and an inexperienced buyer with a multitude of questions and no sense of urgency. From sale to completion took 7 months and were it not for Steven and the team assiduously talking to the buyer and solicitor daily over a period of months we would not have got the sale over the line. They really made all the difference and their communication was constant over the months. I would really encourage everyone selling a property to use U&R. Without their involvement I really do think the sale would have collapsed. Estate agents do not always have the best reputation but if they were all like U&R this would change very quickly. Just fantastic customer service from day 1 to day 250!
