Other estate agents rings after a viewing for a feedback to pass on to the seller , but this ones are more concerned about you taking the property rather than accepting an honest feedback. I felt they were too pushy and that’s a very disgraceful thing to do . One of the guys we had a house viewing with rang back , rather to ask for a feedback which other agents does , I tried giving one reason why I don’t like the property . The only response I got was “ that wasn’t why I called , are you considering the property or not “ . Obviously if we wanted it, we would have made an offer but I tried telling him why it wasn’t for us but also said what we liked about the property , but guess what ? He shut us down like our opinions didn’t matter . I was shocked beyond words . We had to blacklist the agent and swore never to buy or sell through them. Other agents rings for a feedback to pass back to the seller but urban and rural certainly needs training in that aspect . You should learn from other estate agents . I won’t be buying or selling with them no matter how much I want the house or wish to sell my house . Disgraceful and utterly shameful way to treat a potential buyer .

The agent assigned to us was perpetually on annual leave and it was difficult to get a response, although the assistant was helpful when we managed to reach him. The floor plan and the description posted online of the house was inaccurate in multiple ways. On move-in day, agent said he would meet us but three hours later still hadn't shown up (luckily, the previous owner was still there and gave us the extra keys). The solicitor firm they recommended was incredibly slow and difficult to get in touch with.

I marketed my property with urban & rural for 4 months at a rate of 1.4%. I was told by the salesman that they were the best firms in the area and that they charged a premium for that service. Personally i didnt feel i got a premium service. They were very slow to return calls and messages. They also took several weeks to get the correct information on the rightmove page. I also felt the pictures they took of the flat for the rightmove page werent very flattering and played quite a big part in the flat only generating 4 viewings in 4 months, as its a brand new flat on a brand new development i have to say i expected them to generate more interest. So overal i wouldnt reccomend urban & rural especially considering the fees they charge

FIVE STAR SERVICE A year ago I was a first time buyer, the property I viewed and fell in love with was for sale with Urban & Rural. Steven from the Milton Keynes branch was outstanding and really earned his money! He was very efficient, courteous, and gave a superfast response to any emails and calls. He worked really hard to push the sale along in it's final stages and was very patient with the constant chasing from all parties towards the end. The recommended mortgage broker (Mortgage Choice) was also excellent, a seamless process and Dave was very knowledgeable which was reassuring. Unfortunately the solicitors were a complete contrast to Urban & Rural and were almost totally uncommunicative, in the main they ignored emails (which were concise and relevant) and most updates on the progress of the sale/purchase came from the estate agent rather than the solicitor. They say that buying a house is one of the most stressful experiences and I'd agree with that... if it hadn't been for Steven communicating where the solicitors failed to then it would have been a whole lot worse! I've been in my new home for a year now and have finally got round to writing this review. In a nutshell I would wholeheartedly recommend Urban & Rural to anybody looking to sell or buy in Milton Keynes.

After two visits we put offer which was accepted and received email for congratulations. Two weeks later when my mortgage got sorted I was told the property has already been sold to someone else. We just did not loose that home but hours we spent, kids were with us all along to drive 40 miles twice, wasted time of Mortgage brokers and what not.

I can’t speak highly enough of this estate agency - I’ve only me two agents so far (Daniel and Darren) and I was refreshingly impressed with their professionalism, honesty and friendly caring natures - definitely a cut above the rest !
