I've just purchased a property with Rook Matthews Sayer, Bedlington branch. From the beginning I found the people who work there to be outstanding, so helpful and kind. They guided me through the process of my purchase, going out of their way to make sure I had the keys to access the property after a very long journey. I don't intend to sell, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to go with them.

Alistair was brilliant through out the whole process of me buying my house. He always responded quickly to emails, checked in with both calls and emails and was always available to answer any questions. All of the information he gave was easy to understand and I knew exactly what to expect at each stage of the process. The staff in the local Amble office were excellent in helping us find our home. They had great local knowledge and were realistic in their assessments and conversations. I felt they understood our needs and tried their very best to help us. They were very considerate and never pushy. A great team of people with who were consistent in their helpfulness and approach. At a macro level for house buying (so outside the control of RMS Amble), in England, the system is flawed. It requires new legislation. It can take months to complete for no valid reason - full surveys could be done by the seller in advance and be available on-line at the time of viewing so buyers can make better informed decisions for their budget. Searches could be available on-line for solicitors to download without delay. Solicitors could be penalised within their code of conduct for delaying matters unnecessarily and be given clear deadlines to work to.

GoogleDespite being assured that they would monitor progress, I found I was the one doing the monitoring and pushing. Pretty much my usual experience with real estate agents over the years.
Dear Dona, we are really disappointed to receive this review, as you can see from our 4.8 rating, often highlighting our communication we rarely are given a low rating such as this. Because of this, we have spoken to our branch and have delved into this further. It is frustrating to get feedback like this, as our sales progressor put a lot of hours back and forth between yourself and the vendor of the property you were purchasing and stressed multiple times to all parties further up the chain, how important it was to have this completed with your timeframe. In the end, when things weren't progressing as they needed to she was able to persuade our vendor to move into rented accommodation in order to break the chain and enable you to move in. We understand that when you are in such a time sensitive situation it can be frustrating to not hear what you need, however with so many other parties involved with each property at a different stage of conveyancing, especially when there were properties further up the chain whose sale depended on visa's being approved, it can become stressful for those involved. However, we were delighted we were able to help save this chain and would like to wish you good luck in your new home. Thanks RMS.
