Fantastic service, so helpful and supportive throughout the whole sale process. Charlotte was a standout superstar who was always available and on-hand to offer reassurance, advice and guidance and she made the process from start until finish run as smoothly as possible. The team at the branch are very friendly and knowledgeable. The sales pack was put together very quickly and professionally and our house was sold after only a few viewings in a very challenging market.

We can tell you truly care.Do not go near Manning Stainton to rent a house. Their lack of communication, unprofessional attitude and lack of knowledge has left us feeling frustrated and upset.They do not get back to you when someone finally answers the phone, they are rude on the phone and fob you off from one person to another.A Lettings negotiator said they had told us one thing but actually hadn’t at all then blamed us and tried to charge us. Chewing chewing gum and blowing bubbles in your face with a lack of care is very unprofessional. I will not be using this letting agent again and ourselves as tenants and the landlord included have been let down. Don’t go near them!

Will ghost you for months

I’ve been letting my house up at Leeds with this company for a few years now. Wherever there was an issue with my property, I’d reply back within 24 hours. For the first time, I was the one to make the first contact. Needed to know the value on my property, look into buying another property, knowing the market, what I can afford. They said they will get their X and Y team to call me. Nothing. Chased up. Still nothing. Someone did go to evaluate my property on Nov 10, 2023. Haven’t heard back. Chased up. Nothing. Made a complaint and spoke to the top dog, who was all like,” Let’s repair our relationship.” Lol. 2/3 weeks later, still nothing. What the F am I paying their super pricey “admin” fee, every single month, for years, for?This started in September 2023. Still haven’t heard anything back from them. Take your business somewhere else.

Disorganised

Manning Stainton have some lovely houses on their books, but we found them to be quite chaotic and disorganised throughout the process of buying our house. When they initially took us round a development, they seemed very uninterested in selling the house to us and were unknowledgeable about the details of the property. When we put in our first offer, we chased them up a week later to find out it had been lost in their system and never even given to the seller.Myself and my husband both work away from home a lot, and we asked them to keep in contact with both of us via email. Manning ignored this and constantly rang my husband, with queries that he could have answered via email without interrupting his work (or even on occasion waking him up in a different time zone). They would also constantly copy me out of email threads, or only email my husband which was upsetting and made me feel like I wasn’t part of the process, despite having an equal share in our joint house buy.When we put in our offer, the head office then decided to get involved and we’d often get emails that they’d ‘chased up’ our solicitor, something we very much didn’t need as we had been in constant communication with them. They also got key points of information wrong and used incorrect terminology and outdated information about our sale, so we were worried they were being more of a hindrance than a help.Overall, Manning Stainton have some great properties, but aren’t the best when it comes to organisation and listening to their individual client’s needs.

All the good staff have left.

Poor performance from inexperienced new staff this time. My property usually rents in under a week but due to tenant abuse,lack of cleaning, it took 4weeks to do. And after 2 over the top decoration quotes that took 3weeks to obtain. Overall it’s taken 3 months to get it rented. Lack of urgency from nearly everyone. All the good staff have left. If asked for a previous review it would have been a good 4. And maybe a 5. I’ve recommended others too previously. Office manager had to take over to get things moving. Thank good she did.

Sale of Dad's home

I was selling my late father's home and decided on Manning Stainton to sell the property and this was by far the best decision. Sarah was very professional and all staff kept me informed plus there was the use of the app. However this company and should l say, Lesley Alexander in particular from the move team was fantastic. What should have been a relatively straightforward sale, turned into a 7 month very long winded affair, but Lesley never failed to keep pushing to get us through the finish line. She was professional, extremely hard working, very dedicated to her job but sensitive to her clients and at times a counsellor. Whatever Lesley gets paid it's not enough.
