GoogleIn dealing with an apparently simple house-sale which rapidly became very problematic (not the fault of John German in any way), they were pro-active and re-assuring - with specific thanks to James C. I felt at all times that James was "on my side". He acted as a highly effective shock-absorber between me and the circumstances in hand; and through everyone's ceaseless efforts and excellent communication, the sale was completed successfully. GoogleWe always thought that estate agents put a ‘for sale’ sign outside your house and that was it!!!! How wrong could we be! Once we contacted them to sell our property, they could not have been more helpful on feedback from prospective buyers and took us through all the stages required to completion. All the staff are excellent and professional, they come highly recommended, thank you all.

GoogleJohn German are a first-rate Estate Agent and their professional approach to house selling is second to none. I recently had a visit from James Cardon, who’s valuation, advice, and all-round professionalism are a credit to John German. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I will certainly use James/John German if I decide to sell any more properties in the future. All the staff at John German are very pleasant, especially Fiona Clougher, who I have also been contacted by recently, and again, the approach to selling property is first class. GoogleI've been renting for over 10 years and John German are by far the most efficient and competent letting agents I've dealt with. I was in a position of needing to move within a short amount of time, and from booking an initial viewing to securing the tenancy agreement, the Burton team's communication through it all was brilliant. I felt as though they actually wanted to help me have the best outcome, from being flexible with appointments to pushing through my application. I was dreading having to move again, but the team made it stress free. I feel secure knowing that any future needs will be resolved and that they actually care about what they do. GoogleOutstanding service from John German in Burton upon Trent.With a total commitment to the seller. We had a difficult property to sell which took many,many viewings and a lot of persistence over 10 months and not once did they suggest dropping the price so they could get a sale quickly. They valued the property and stuck by their guns to obtain the market value. Truly outstanding estate agent team who we will be using to sell our next property.

GoogleJust visited the site to see details of a friend's house which is on the market, as a matter of general nosiness. They did sell our house some years ago: 4 days from going on the market to agreeing a deal, which then successfully went to completion.

GoogleBe very, VERY careful when this agent is the letting agent of your property or you will lose your deposit. They will absolutely rob you blind if they can get away with it when you move out. Make sure you log every minute detail of damage, unclean areas and every single weed in the garden BEFORE you move in. Take close-up video evidence and do NOT give them the benefit of the doubt just because they seemed friendly before you signed your contract. This agent is unprofessional, they do not care about their customers (and that includes tenants despite what they seem to think) and they will absolutely lie, cheat and steal to retain as much of your deposit as they can. Don't rely on deposit dispute services to step in and fight for justice either as they will generally rule 50/50 to try to remain impartial, even if evidence against the agent is overwhelming. If you've unfortunately already signed up with this agent... good luck! Edit: John German's should definitely be disappointed with my feedback AND that was the point of the feedback! But instead of spreading further lies they should try looking inwards. FYI: My dispute was raised with TDS because this agent withheld the full deposit for an unreasonable length of time. The TDS did NOT remain unbiased and they did NOT review all the evidence fully in my case. However, that said, the majority of the unsubstantiated claim against me was thrown out because it was unfair and nothing but a blatant attempt to extort funds from me. The only reason the matter is not going to court (despite the principle) is that it is not worth the time or money for the small amount that was eventually taken. Again, I urge anyone dealing with this organisation to heed this warning and be extremely weary.
We are very disappointed to receive your feedback as customer service and integrity is at the heart of everything we do. Following your initiated dispute with the TDS, we submitted the evidence to the independent adjudicator, who must be unbiased in their findings. They supported the claim for the landlord’s deposit.
