Simon and Jessica were thoroughly professional and easy to deal. We had two long and protracted sales, but they kept us informed at every stage and were creative in negotiating problems. In style, much more Waitrose than Aldi...

Laura Purvor from John D Wood has pulled out all the stops to get my mothers flat let, not a an easy task as we are on 2 different continents and a 5 hour time difference, I probably owe her a drink or 2. All the hurdles have been cleared. If your looking for a letting agent or an estate agent they’ll keep you informed and help out with potential problems and find satisfactory solutions. As they say in the USA Way to go Laura

We have been with John D Wood for the last 2 years and they have been great agents. Recently we have been in contact with Laura Purvor for our move out process. Thus far she has made the process easy and has been considerate of our time etc. Hope we can work with her in the future.

Absolutely shocking service recieved by John D Wood. Terrible experience and will not ever be using this agent again. Would have given zero stars if possible. I cannot put into words how incompetent the Property Management team is. Complained to Countrywide and issues still not taken seriously. We are now in direct contact with the landlord and it appears that he has also had a similar experience and cancelled the property management contract immediately. They were quoted £4,500 for a job that we got a contractor to rectify for £500.

I have to find a new property during the hardest months of the year (October & November) but the process was made much easier thanks to JDW great team. Special mention has to be given to Lucy Fox who responded always very quickly, making the viewings very easy and consequently I found a suitable property within no time. The rest of the references and paperwork was also instructed without delay. I had no worked with John D Wood before but I was very happy with the way they speeded things up making the process seamless and efficient.

Laura Purvor has looked after our property for several years, and placed a great tenant that is perfectly suited to the property and our situation. Laura is always on hand to deal with any bits and pieces as they crop up, and working with a letting agent that is available and contactable is important to us, so we value this greatly. I can't recommend Laura highly enough !.

Laura Purvor at John D Wood in St.Margarets rented out my apartment for me once already. The experience was effortless, she was professional and there was as little stress as one could possibly hope for. That tenancy has come to an end but I had no qualms about using Laura Purvor and John D Wood again - which pretty much sums up my opinion of her and them. Highly recommended.

I have been really impressed with the service from Simon Philp, at John D Wood in St Margarets. Simon has gone above and beyond to provided a extremely professional, friendly service. He was incidental myself and my daughter buying our dream home. It was due to Simon's fact acting, 'thinking out of the box' attitude that secured our purchase. He was always on hand for advice and responded quickly. I also found him experienced and knowledgable and always happy to help. Would defiantly recommend JDWood and Simon to others

I can't praise Simon and the team at John D Wood enough for the way they managed the sale of our property. They have a lot of local knowledge, experienced agents, and were able to bring in a lot of potential buyers through their network. They were always pushing to find the right buyer for our home. I felt like we were guided well through the whole process and they often went the extra mile, even once we had our offer and had exchanged. High in integrity, they're like the Jerry Maguire of Estate Agents!

Best estate agent experience I have ever had! Laura is professional, advisory, responsive and super organised. She found me the perfect tenants, provided advice throughout and I knew that everything was in good hands. I can't recommend Laura highly enough. If you are renting in the St Margarets area, don't go anywhere else!

I have previously used other local estate agents to rent my flat. It has always taken a considerable time and the tenants have not always been suitable. I decided to try JD Wood and was immediately impressed by the professionalism and approach of their manager Laura Purvor and her team. I was particularly impressed by the fact that they had a ready list of potential professional lessees through their wider Countrywide connections. The flat was viewed the day after I agreed to appoint JD Wood and to my surprise and delight I was informed the following day that their client wished to take the flat! The process of checking references, signing documentation etc progressed seamlessly and any queries we had were answered immediately. Laura and her team can even take credit for facilitating a meeting between ourselves and the lessee which greatly reassured us and established the basis of a good landlord/tenant relationship. I can't recommend Laura and here team at JD Wood highly enough.

Had a great experience renting via John D Wood after having previously a difficult experience with another rental agency. They, with special thanks to Eloise and Laura and Lucy, made finding and then renting a property much less stressful and quicker than I thought possible with updates about progress along the way and with clear information on what I needed to do. As a result I've found a lovely property with great landlords :) Couldn't recommend John D Wood more since my experience with them.

A review for prospective renters and buyers, myself and my partner were first time renters with little experience of the market. We found that John D.Wood had a wide selection of properties to rent across the area we wanted to live being south-west London. After finding what is now our dream property online, we contacted John D Wood and spoke to Harriett who was friendly, informative and extremely helpful. She managed to arrange a viewing for the property just three hours after viewing it online. The property was both clean and well-presented, it was immediately apparent that Harriett had a good understanding of both the local and property history. We were consciously aware that our property would be competitive and after some negotiations, the team at St.Margarets particularly Laura & Harriett persuaded the landlord to choose our offer and we couldn't have been more thankful for all their help. Once the tenancy agreement was drafted, the team expedited the moving-in process to allow us to enter our new home as soon as possible and continue to offer us on-going support if needed.

While our initial experience, particularly with James and Kasia, has been good, we were left absolutely dumbfounded by the total lack of professionalism they showed in our moving out process. We've been waiting for over a month for them to transfer our deposit back, with constant following up and little to none response from the 'responsible' team. We and our former landlords are speechless how poorly this is handled. Reason enough to never view an apartment offered by John D Wood again.

John D Wood in Wandsworth

John D Wood in Wandsworth, and more specifically Shae Preece and James Setright, epitomise the worst traits of estate agents. Dishonest, unprofessional and incompetent. They incited panic in the chain unnecessarily, they downright lied on many occasions, they pestered all sides incessantly which led to numerous complaints, and when it suited them ignored all communication. Despite having no qualifications, they believed they were experts in surveying, conveyancing law and mortgages and unbelievably tried to undermine experts in these fields. They will do their best to ruin any house sale or purchase. Avoid John D Wood at all costs.
