GoogleAs a Landlord my Wife and I have worked with Davis Tate for several years and are still very happy with the Property Management. During this time DT have introduced us to some great Tenants. Jessica Hedges has been brilliant. She is efficient, conscientious and communicates perfectly at all levels. DT have a 'diamond' in this employee and nothing is too much trouble. We count ourselves lucky to have Jessica as our PM.

GoogleJessica manages my rental property in Wantage and has always been fast to respond with any questions that I may have arising from her thorough and accurate inspection reports. Most recently Jessica managed the installation of a new gas boiler, after the original boiler failed, arranging in the meantime for oil-filled radiators to be delivered to keep the tenants warm and even offered to take blankets, should the radiators not arrive in a timely manor. At all times Jessica kept myself informed, e-mailed quotations, following up with a phone call asking for authorisation to proceed and looked after the tenant. Finally Jessica sent pictures of the new Gas Boiler installed and working, thanks Jessica.

Unfortunately our move was not straightforward, this seems to be our luck when it comes to buying/selling houses and had nothing to do with Davis Tate, actually their support throughout our Journey has been fabulous. Kirsty has been absolutely amazing and has been our point of contact from start to finish. She’s has been on the ball from day dot and made sure all deadlines were met and everyone who needed to be chased was chased and we can’t thank her enough. We are finally settled in our hopefully forever home, but if circumstances were to change we know who to hire!

GoogleCurrently using Davis Tate for purchasing our new home. Communication is key for myself and my partner and Lydia has been excellent on this front. Always checking in and updating us on the process of her Vendor and giving advice for ourselves at the same time. She was lovely during our initial viewing of the property and knew all the right answers to the questions we had and didn’t shy away from anything. She is making the process enjoyable.

GoogleI'm not usually one to write reviews, but I couldn't speak more highly of the team at Davis Tate in Wantage. They were selling a property that we were purchasing. Unfortunately due to events outside of our control (solicitors, interest rates and long chains!) the sale fell through. However, the team went above and beyond throughout the whole process. We were initially shown the property by Oliver. He helped us to fall in love with the property. Some viewings that we had with other estate agents, the agent was just reading information off the brochure. However, Oliver had great knowledge of the area and of the property itself. This made us feel confident to put an offer in. Then throughout the buying process, he would communicate regularly with us and was always available to talk, as was the rest of the team. Another member of the team, Kirsty, was the ongoing driving force that kept the cogs moving throughout the buying process. She sought to find solutions and out of all the estate agents in the chain was clearly working the hardest to achieve a positive outcome - all whilst remaining professional and approachable. Unfortunately, all that hard work did not pay off. However, when we are in a position to buy again, there is no doubt that if the property that we fall in love with (for the second time!) is marketed by Davis Tate it will give us an extra level of reassurance that the service given is of the highest quality. If there was a Davis Tate in Winchester, where we are selling, then we would use them in a heartbeat.

GoogleI have been particularly impressed by efforts of Jessica Hedges: Property Manger. As a tenant in Wantage I recently informed her that the emergency fire lights and stair-well lights were not working in my flat block. She immediately realised that this is a serious problem and with due urgency raised this with the property manager. Rather than merely considering her duty to have been done she quite assiduously followed up checking that an electrician was attending to the problem and that the problem had been solved. Very pleased….

GoogleWe have been tenants at the same Davis Tate property for 17 years. It has been, I would imagine, a difficult property to manage. It's grade two listed, old, and has been maintained to a very basic level for such an old building by the landlord. The landlord are a group of charity trustees. So the liaison needed for decision making on maintenance has, I am sure, been a massive headache! We've been here so long we've had more than one property manager. All have been great. Our current property manager, Melvyn Hayden, has been fantastic. We do have endless issues with such an old building, but Melvyn has always helped with everything we needed to address, in a very helpful, efficient way, chasing for follow ups and confirmations to make sure things happen when they need to. We always prefer to be home when anyone visits, for maintenance or inspections, for anything, and this can make scheduling more complex. Davis Tate have always been very understanding and have respected this. They work to find a time for visits when we can be present. We are sad to leave. For 17 years we have raised our family here, and we just need more space.

A bit of an unethical approach to selling properties. I spoke to Oliver with regards to an offer getting rejected on a property and no reason given. He was rude and ignorant and brash. I found his tone very bullying. Either way when you look at how many properties they have advertised speaks volumes about their service as compared to other agents in the area. I would not recommend this agent to anyone. They waste more time with negative attitude rather than a positive experience.
