Abysmal service. The landlord is as unhelpful as the agency. They have attempted to deduct £140 from my deposit without properly checking the facts, claiming it was for removing a wardrobe that the landlord herself came and removed. They have also tried to charge me for issues they failed to identify before I moved in and are now attempting to pass those repair costs onto me. Fortunately, I have email evidence and photos of the property. Hannah Alison Hutchison of 9 Coldstream Street, G72 0SR will not be getting a penny from my deposit. This will be disputed in full. It took 5 weeks to respond regarding the deposit. However, they called me at 9am on the day I was due to return the keys, pushing for a time so they could move a new tenant in immediately. That urgency clearly does not extend to returning deposits. They were also quick to ask me to provide photos of the property so they could relist and advertise it straight away. I was rushed into the property without basic checks being completed. The heating was not working, leaving me without heating for weeks. I then had to wait around for engineers who failed to attend and then spend a full day dealing with a boiler replacement. The gas safety check was also due, resulting in further time I had to take out to deal with it. All issues that should have been done prior to me moving in, but they were too rushed to keep their rent money coming through. The cooker hood was not working since move in and took 9 months of repeated chasing before it was fixed. I was also promised new gates at front and back of properry, and repainting, neither of which were carried out. The back gate was only replaced when a storm disintegrated the "gate" that was in place at the time. Overall, a very poor and frustrating experience from start to finish. And still ongoing. Goodluck to the new tenants, with your disgusting junkie neighbours too.

My experience from start to finish with Countrywide Shawlands was excellent. From Graeme coming out to do the valuation, I was supported with my (hundreds of) questions and made to feel more certain about the process. The team were always willing to provide advice, and made clear to me what my options were at each stage. My flat went on the market on Monday morning, and was sold by Wednesday lunchtime. I was so impressed by the work of the team, they were open in communication and welcomed questions - they were very efficient and always willing to chat things through. (The surveyor who did my home report said they were great too).
