Overall, I have a very efficient service from Countrywide as property managers who have looked after my rental property for some 15 years.They respond promptly to tenant’s concerns; notify me in a timely fashion when these arise and arrange for these to be resolved, always first liaising with me and to seek authorisation. Whilst this may not always have been the case in the early years the service and communication have improved enormously in recent years. Reece has been designated my named contact and this has made a reassuring difference.

Hannah and the team (Daisy, Sophie, Megan) then stepped in and were influential in the selling of my property, organising 26 viewings!! Would recommend. Being a first time landlord I had no real idea where to start. Kellie sold me right away with her enthusiasm and guidance on everything. I had a really positive experience using Countrywide West End to rent out my flat and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to do the same. I always felt they were giving me sound advice from years of experience in the business and brought up useful points that I wouldn’t have thought of myself. They also ran a very personalised service. Yasmin worked hard to find the correct tenants for me and my flat, there was no pressure to accept tenants quickly, and I always felt they gave me honest and insightful feedback after each viewing. Yasmin went the extra mile, even removing some leftover boxes from the previous tenants so that I didn’t have to come and do that myself from Inverness! Their communication by phone and email was excellent and I really appreciated that I was always kept in mind and in the loop. It was very convenient that I could communicate with them via WhatsApp because I don’t have a good phone signal where I work.

From the initial meeting with Gavin and on to the sales team the sale of our house could not went smoother. At the outset Gavin gave us an estimate of sale price and a top end possible sale and to our delight the resulting sale exceeded the top end price. It is worth mentioning that we expected the property to be on the market for months but sold in six weeks. Country wide on Byres road is a shocking lettings for young professionals. Ashton Russel has ignored all of both mine and my flat mates calls and ignored every email sent regarding arrangement to remove furniture from our flat (which we had to do to get our deposit back) however he Did not Reply to any email or return any call to arrange a date. Is this the appropriate conduct for a portfolio manager? Purposely went out his way to make sure we couldn’t get our deposit back. On one occasion my flat mate phoned his office number where he failed to correctly place her on hold and we heard him making snarky comments at a fellow agent for transferring her call to him? Countrywide also arranged to have a contractor re tile our bathroom floor and to do this they had to remove the bathroom door then reconnect it after. Country wide charged us £402 claim For apparently “tampering and damaging door” could two 5ft3 girls really take a door off it’s hinges? Again no reply when I asked him this. For someone working in law I whole heartedly know that there has been mass company negligence in regards to both mine and my flat mates care and financial security.

The landlord online portal makes it very easy to track what's happening with the tenancy. I initially thought the letting process was going to be complicated, but Countrywide made it easy.
