GoogleCountrywide is appalling. Their communication is the worst I have ever seen from a letting agency, they are disorganised and highly unprofessional. My flat and I have had ongoing problems with them from the moment we moved in. If you can please try and avoid as the stress and money is not worth it. I will be avoiding them at all costs in the future. To add the staff are also rude, implying problems with the flat are the tenants fault when in actual fact it is due to their negligence.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleSince the very start of my relationship with Countrywide I have to say I was totally impressed with Louise Penman at the Glasgow office. She was punctual at the viewing of property, extremely informative and was a very upbeat positive person. Louise was extremly quick in ironing out any wrinkles in communication (saving my family from waiting extra days for our much anticipated move in day) making sure that my family (her clients) were fully aware of every step in the letting process. GoogleDO NOT LET YOUR PROPERTY OUT WITH COUNTRYWIDE. Having moved away for 4 years, I rented my flat out via Countrywide West End Branch. It has been the worst experience. They are horrendously unprofessional and unresponsive. They allowed several tenants in my flat without my permission, they forwarded me emails from the tenant for issues that they should have dealt with as I was paying them a monthly 10% Management Fee. At every step of the way someone either messed something up or handled it completely unprofessionally. That incases any repair, issue, admin, paperwork, money exchange. GoogleCountrywide have managed my rental property for a number of years now. I decided to refurbish the property last year and received great advice from Mhairi who was able to support me with suggestions on the level of work required and the recommendation of a contractor to complete the work. Arrangements were made by Countrywide directly with the contractor for him to start work with funds held until works were complete and approved. Once the property was ready to go back on the market, a new tenant was found within the day! Recently, my tenants experienced an issue with flooding caused by a leak in the flat above. Countrywide were able to facilitate discussions with my tenant, the upstairs tenant and landlord along with the building factors and insurers. Scott was extremely helpful, keeping both myself and the tenant informed at regular intervals. He took ownership of the issue and resolved it, leaving the tenant satisfied - this is where you really see the value of an experienced professional letting agent. GoogleVery happy with the service provided by the letting team for renting my flat. I appreciated it took little time and the fact that the team was very responsive to my queries. Unfortunately, the positive feeling above changed over time. A) Any time there was something to repair in the flat as per tenant's request, communication was rather poor with no follow-up on what reparations were made, status, etc. - and B) lots of problems to terminate the letting to put the flat on sale, with deliberate attempts to prevent contact with the tenant and delay the process. As a landlord, not happy at all of how things have been managed.

GoogleI would highly recommend this company to anyone selling a property they were so professional. Their agent Gavin Dillon was extremely helpful in advising me how to make the property look it's best for the photographs and video. The girls in the office were great at keeping me up to date with all the interest in the property and all the legal paper work. The property sold within two weeks start to finish. Thanks again.

Very happy with the experience as a first time buyer. Had been looking to purchase a home for about a year and had some rather unsavoury treatment by a couple of other agencies which left me reluctant to look into purchasing. GoogleAfter engaging with another Estate Agents in the West End of Glasgow and being incredibly disappointed, I was thoroughly impressed with the service from Countrywide. My property went on the market in November 2020 and was sold by January 2021. As the sale occurred during the global pandemic, it was key that Countrywide support me on visits, as I was unable to visit the property. Julie, Gavin, Kirstin and the team were fabulous at continuous support and keeping me in the loop on everything. I would highly recommend Countrywide!

From my very first interaction with Paul who came out to value the property and was one of the nicest and most reassuringly positive people you'd ever meet, through to all the staff in the branch and especially Megan, who basically led me by the hand through the whole experience, keeping me informed of every single aspect of the process along the way. GoogleWe were selling our property and had several estate agents out in a short period of time. Gavin from countrywide was the last one of the day and we were going to make a quick phone call to cancel. Simply could not be happier that we didn't make that call. Gavin was honest, professional and particularly pleasant to deal with. He gave us an idea of what to expect and in what kind of time frame the current market was moving. We were then passed to Kirstin, Megan and Julie in the office who kept us constantly up to date and in the loop with viewings and interest and feedback. We couldn't recommend the team at Countrywide highly enough as it was simply a case of handing over a set of keys and the property was taken off our hands and sold quicker than what we had anticipated. I recently worked with Louise, who quickly sourced and referenced my new tenant and was available quickly and politely for lots of queries along the way. My property sold very quickly and the girls in the office were very professional and efficient for the viewing times and letting me know what was happening at all stages. Gavin was fantastic at taking pictures of my flat and put everything together in a matter of days, the schedule looked great and the advice he gave me on selling made the process very smooth. GoogleWe decide to use countrywide, as they seemed competitively priced but I guess, you get what you pay for. They were very helpful at the beginning to gain the business, but the service afterwards has been appalling, They gave me the wrong information and instead of being sorry , they said I had to sort it out The manager refused 4 times to give me the managers name above him. Very disappointed with the service and the lack of professionalism shown at the branch. If that is the standard of the managers , perhaps they need a little more training

GoogleWe contacted two local Estate Agents and after meeting with Vikki we decided to go with Countrywide. The reason for this was her professionalism and the total package offered by Countyrwide. We had the Marketing material posted on line on Monday afternoon and appoinments made for the following 4 days. Nicole, the Hamilton branch manager handled all the client interaction for us and again we were very inpressed by her total attention to our needs. The great news is that we had a written offer for my mother's house on the Thursday, 4 days after the material went on line.
