I can honestly say I’ve been positively surprised by Choices, especially in the past few years. I’ve been renting with them for almost 7 years now and both Robyn Copperthwaite and Brandon Longhurst. Robyn dealt with an issue in my flat last years and when I approached him this year about a different issue, he passed the information onto the new agent dealing with my account quickly and made sure I was approached by Brandon quickly. Brandon too, he did everything under the sun, I’m quite sure called every plumber in the area to get my issue sorted. I am very, very positively surprised.

I cannot recommend Nikki Gunner highly enough, she is truly exceptional.About a year ago, I faced a very stressful situation with my let property managed by Choices: the tenants moved in but stopped paying rent entirely, essentially treating the flat like squatters/occupants. It was a nightmare, but Nikki stepped in and handled everything with outstanding expertise, intelligence, and efficiency.She has an incredible knowledge of the relevant legislation and eviction processes, which made all the difference in navigating what could have been a long, complicated, and expensive ordeal. Untrustworthy and misleading estate agent. Choice Estate Agent took money from tenants but informed me as the landlord that no tenants were found and that no rent had been paid. The rent was never transferred to me. This behavior felt dishonest and extremely unprofessional. I believe landlords should avoid this agency, as the lack of transparency caused me financial loss and stress.

In marketing my property Nicola provided a valuation for me which I initially thought was a bit low and I insisted it was marketed at a higher value. Turns out her valuation was spot on, I hadn't taken into account the current market for my property type. Once a buyer was found Nicola and Grant were invaluable in their help both practically, meeting me at the property when I was missing a key, and throughout the sales process, chasing up on the buyer's solicitors and keeping me informed at all times. Their enthusiasm for what they do inspired confidence during a process which can at times be frustrating. I highly recommend them both.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but the service I’ve received from Choices Estate Agents Croydon, and in particular Nicola Macdonald, has been nothing short of exceptional. Nicola is currently helping me sell a property in Croydon, and from the very beginning, she has been informative, proactive, and incredibly helpful. She consistently goes above and beyond what I would have expected from an estate agent. One moment that really stood out: she personally contacted both my insurance brokers and mortgage lenders to chase up documentation and ensure a smooth process. This wasn’t something I asked her to do, she simply took the initiative. Her guidance has also been invaluable, offering practical tips and highlighting things to watch out for so I can make well-informed decisions throughout. It’s rare to see an estate agent who goes extra miles quietly batting for their client in the background without claiming credit or recognition. I hope her employers recognise how invaluable she is to the company. Nicola is incredibly responsive, sharp, and efficient, always quick to follow up, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to doing right by her clients. We have just moved in our dream house since last week thanks to Nicola and Grant from Choices. They worked really hard, especially Nicola for making the process less hassle even though troubles always came up all at a sudden, she thought and came up with solutions for all parties involved. We were in a large chain ever, so it was really complicated at all different stages especially when a lot of people got different problems to solve. Nicola and Grant always acted at speed to email and follow up with phone calls to make sure all people be updated with the situation. ⭐ 1 STAR, Avoid at all costs! The most stressful, disorganised experience of our lives. If I could give zero stars, I would. Buying our first home through Choices was supposed to be the most exciting time of our lives, instead, it turned into an absolute nightmare that dragged on for months, full of stress, confusion, and appalling service. We viewed the house in October while tenants were still living there. We were told they would be out by January at the latest, so we put in our offer based on that timeline. From there, it was downhill. Communication was awful from start to finish. We had to chase them every single week for updates, and no one ever had a straight answer. At one point, we were suddenly told it had to go to court to remove the tenants, something they "weren’t sure of the outcome of." This completely blindsided us and filled us with anxiety. We were kept in the dark at every stage. They also recommended their solicitors, AVRillo, do yourself a favour and AVOID THEM TOO. Not only were they expensive, they were inflexible and difficult to deal with. Appointments could only be made during awkward hours (10, 11 or 2, 3, can’t even remember, it’s all a blur at this point). As first-time buyers, we were naive, and we were charged for things we didn’t even understand, no proper explanations were given. The process dragged on for so long that our original mortgage offer expired, and we had to reapply at a much higher interest rate, costing us thousands more in the long run. When we finally got the keys in mid-May, the property was left in an absolutely disgusting state. We had been promised an end-of-tenancy clean by Choices, which they then tried to deny. I had to fight tooth and nail, with evidence, to get the clean done, and even when it was, it looked like no one had done anything. It was a joke. I had to literally beg someone from Choices to meet me at the property. What was supposed to be the most exciting day of our lives turned into a complete disaster. The only person who showed any compassion was Jake, and even he couldn’t do anything, it wasn’t his fault, but it’s telling that he was the only one who seemed to care. After completion, Choices completely washed their hands of us, as did the solicitors. The house wasn’t in the agreed condition at exchange, but they refused to let my partner attend in person and told us we had to accept photos only, again, something we later found out is not standard practice. To top it all off, it’s now September and they still haven’t collected their “SOLD” sign from outside the property. We’ve now fully renovated the house and made it a home, and it’s beautiful, but we cannot let the experience we went through slide. Do NOT use Choices. They are unprofessional, disorganised, and seem to care more about closing the sale than treating their buyers with honesty or respect.
