Having been in the property business for many decades I believe that I am sufficiently experienced to understand the essential aspects of an estate agent both from the perspective of purchaser and seller and that of landlord and tenant. Having dealt with Charters for many years longstanding, I would therefore, confirm, that my confidence in Charters is absolute such that they would always be my first choice to the extent that this would exclude all others. The rationale of the aforegoing statement, is because in my opinion, there is no other estate agent that is likely to provide the exceptionally high level of absolute commitment to both landlord and tenant as that provided by the staff at Charters. I am able to state, and indeed pleased to do so, that the all important aspect of "First Impression" of any member of Charters staff, is not only exemplary, but remains at this inordinately high level throughout the relationship, such that a sincere bond of complete confidence and absolute trust is born, in the certain knowledge everyone is working in concert toward the ultimate satisfaction of buyer and seller or/and landlord and tenant.

You know that annoying thing when you say how much you can spend and where you want to live, and an estate agent tries to sell you something for twice the price miles away? Charters don't do that. I have a really positive opinion on Charters agency office in Winchester and especially Jon Baud, which carefully matching our requirements with the properties available on market. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that single viewing which the agent was late to show me the property. It only happened once so maybe I am a bit hard on my review. They are always flawless to be honest, but there is always room for improvement, even for the good ones.

We have been searching for a property in Winchester for over 6 months now, and have met with 6 or 7 estate agents over this time. We have been so impressed with Mike Maher we thought it would be nice if he got some recognition for his hard work. He is the only estate agent that has been in regular communication, always good at responding to our queries, punctual and just had a nice way about him. I've been on both sides of the fence where estate agents are concerned, having managed two independent branches in the past. But rarely have I ever found a company whose team uniformly live up to my expectations as a customer. But from the very first day I walked into Charters' Winchester office last year (2018) I was impressed. And although the specific studio I was hoping to rent had already been taken, I recently put my name down in the hope that I would be given first refusal whenever it became available again... I viewed it this week with Kathryn who was kind enough to give me a call straight away and get me in within 24 hours! Sadly, after doing the sums both financially and logistically, a move there wouldn't prove viable for me this time round. But, rest assured I shall be knocking on Charters' door and or making them my first call, whenever I'm ready to step back onto the property market that's for sure. Well done guys, it's fantastic to meet a team who actually mean what they say and stand by it - a rare commodity in this day and age...

Although our new home was not sourced by Charters (due to location constraints largely at our end), Alex was a professional, personable and friendly member of staff at Charters Winchester branch. He has been super patient in dealing with us and our requirements and always went out of his way to help us.
