I have purchased 2 properties now from Ashley directly, the first in 2018 and the other in early 2020. Ashley is honest, friendly, thorough, and handles enquiries professionally and diligently, which is why I specifically asked for him again in relation to the 2nd property. I do feel that I am in safe hands with Ashely and he has my trust. Ashely has made the process of buying my properties straightforward, smooth and pleasant. My rating of 5/5 is is reflective of Ashley’s excellent attitude and commitment to getting the job done. Ashley is one in a million!

I have made purchase of my first house with Charters CF some time ago now but now cleaning my mailbox I recalled I was going to place comment here. So on average they are ok but obviously being paid from sell price they try to keep price up. They are not to pushy re use of their Finance Advisor but are pushy to make an appointment with him. Its a matter of him to evaluate if you can afford estate and then he gives an agents green light to process. I had a feeling not ok if person related to agency know what my affordability is. As this information allow agency to keep price high. Second objection is finalization of purchase. House supposed to be released on Wed but actually we've been told previous owner has a delay and agent have no keys yet. So next day when eventually afternoon house was ready when I arrived to collect a keys they didnt even know where they are or how they look like :) As I have some marketing/sales background I know it’s one of the most disrespectful ways to treat customer. For a person buying first house for a large amount of money getting keys is something unique. And when he/she gets to agency when nobody knows where keys are, not a word of sorry, not even a thank you card… it’s just not right. I got a few keys that I had to guess which door they open :) Selling cars for years I know that for collection car needs to be shiny, polished, perfumed, sales person is waiting with a keys and small thank you gift. Then customer for sure will be satisfied and more likely comes back. Don’t count on such treatment with Charters tough :) Other than that all went smooth and successful.

In a difficult market pre- Brexit, the Charters Chandlers Ford team were totally focused on getting our property sold. With potential purchasers being cautious as a result of market conditions Elle McCrindle was extremely professional and driven in handling our sale. The service from Victoria Timson & Ella Archer went above and beyond in securing us a really good rental property at very short notice as our buyers wanted a speedy completion. I let my property through Charters They made mistake after mistake. I was paying them to manage the property, but I kept having to chase everything myself. They didn't pay invoices that they hadn't made me aware of and kept changing inventory companies and the incoming inventory wasn't compared with the outgoing. They didn't do the checks as required on time and staff could be rude on occasion. When I came to sell the house they promised me weekly updates which didn't happen and they showed people around it who weren't interested in it just to have viewings. When I went with another company, the staff were rude and dismissive in their attitude. Very unprofessional and slap dash in my experience. As a customer, I want to feel my property was in good hands. I never felt confident that was the case.

We instructed Charters to sell our property as they made a great impression when we were looking for our new home. Echoing some of the previous reviewers, the whole team was extremely professional, proactive and efficient whilst providing a friendly service. Matt was extremely accommodating arranging several viewings at short notice on the house we eventually bought, and Henry kept us updated at all times with the sale of our property which was agreed within a couple of weeks. The marketing, especially the photography really presented our house in the best possible light. During the sale and purchase, Stephen handled all the communication between buyers, sellers and solicitors, providing regular updates on the process. Nothing was too much trouble and we really felt that the whole process was extremely well managed. On the day of completion, Emily even came over in the evening with additional keys that the vendor had found for the windows which really was above and beyond what we would have expected. Additionally, I should mention that their in-house mortgage broker Mark was truly excellent in all regards, securing a mortgage with a great rate for us which saved us the hassle of dealing with the lenders directly.
