GoogleWe’ve just helped my mother buy a property in Alton. The process of selling her home privately and buying her new one through Charters was not straightforward and we had a bumpy ride. Jonathon and Amy were both based in the Alton branch to begin with but moved to Farnham part way through. They were both extremely helpful and friendly during the whole process and Jonathon stayed with our case even after moving. He went above and beyond for both the sellers and us, the buyers, helping us deal with non-communicative solicitors and pushing the process along diligently. GoogleWhat can we can we say about the team at Charters in Alton! Honestly we don't have a bad word to say about our experience through selling and buying through the team. Biggest thank-you to everyone involved and all your hard work!- Sarah, Jonathan, Toby, Cara & Rob We had previously been on with a different Estate Agents and had a rather bad experience. We hesitantly invited Sarah to value our property, as we assumed our flat was unsellable! Sarah was so passionate and positive about our home, whilst being completely honest and open about the difficult climate we were facing. We signed the contract on the Thursday, had a viewing on the Friday and had excepted an offer by the Saturday! How amazing is that! We went on to buy with Charters, with the help of Toby and Jonathan we finally completed on our home last Friday. Although the process was rather stretched out both Jonathan and Toby kept us updated the whole way through so we were involved and happy with the situation, any problems we faced with solicitors they were keen to help and advise to resolve issues. We would recommend their services to anyone looking to buy or sell, and will certainly be using them in the future if we choose to sell. Thank you again! GoogleWhere do I start, The minefield of House rental , Having contacted 12 Estate Agents one of which was Charters enquiring on 4 bedroomed properties, I was astonished to receive 9 automated replies with zero follow up, One I followed up myself only to be told it will go mate be quick, I didn't pursue I hasten to add . I then was left with two one being another agent followed up by phone very polite and courteous, did all he said on the tin the property had been let. Then I was left with Charters, what a shining light, impeccable service from Rebecca & the team at Alresford, even in Rebecca's absence, I was followed up, appointment made on the Friday for the Monday. We were kept updated through the the sales process, I dealt with three people in total I can only say fantastic team work. The moral of the story is deal with the professional's you wont regret it.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleMy first contact with this business was with Mike Maher for a valuation on my parents house. He kept in touch with me for 8 months (unlike another agent) while probate was progressing. With the support of sales and the admin staff it was sold stc in a very short time. A wonderful & professional company to deal with which I would certainly recommend.

GoogleI have had dealings with Charters in being a potential buyer of a property which was on the market with them. When I called to arrange a viewing I was told there was no time to show me this property for just over a week as they were too busy. This property was also on the market with another agent so I called them to see if I could view the property and managed to see it that same evening. A week later we had put in an offer and were in the process of buying said property. The experience I have had with charters since then has been, in my opinion, one of complete unprofessionalism. Firstly after we had our offer accepted on the property through another agent, charters ignored instruction to take the listing down from right move and their website for the best part of a week, leaving us potentially exposed to being gazumped. It took several requests from various parties for them to remove the property from right move. Now weeks after this I am informed that charters have contacted the owner of the house we are in the process of buying, and told them that we are pulling out of the sale and have offered on another property. Understandably the owner grew concerned and had to contact the agent we are buying through to ask if this was in fact true. Our agent reassured him that this was not the case. Charters had completely misinformed the seller and put in jeopardy, our whole chain. This whole experience has been one that has instilled in me, for any future buying or selling, that I will not under any circumstances deal with charters. I feel ever since we had our offer accepted on our new home, they have gone out of their way to throw a spanner in the works. This shows me that the companies values are not in line with the community and spirit of chandlers Ford. I would not recommend this company for people selling and I would not recommend this company for people looking to buy.

GoogleWe have had an entirely positive experience with Charters in Alresford during our house hunt in the area. Special mention has to go to Gail who has been wonderful - friendly, always professional yet laughing, and a pleasure to liase with. Herself & a colleague went out of their way to arrange things like video tours for us as we were house hunting from another part of the country. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

GoogleCharters have been absolutely fantastic with the sale of my late fathers flat in Badger Farm. From day 1, we received a friendly and professional service that we simply cannot fault. I want to thank Aidan in particular who provided us with regular updates and was always on the end of an email or phone if we had any questions. I spoke to other members of the Charters team (Ollie and Jonny for example) on some occassions who were also wonderful. I feel very confident that anyone considering selling or renting out a property with Charters would receive the high level of service that I have received. Highly recommended!

GoogleAttended a scheduled viewing only to find on arrival that no access to the property had been arranged. Significant time wasted travelling to and from the property in question.
