In particular, Ash, who assisted with viewings, was exceptionally professional, friendly, and courteous. She quickly arranged a viewing for us on a property in a sought after location and was very efficient in following up with the landlord and securing our tenancy. We are particularly grateful to her as we are moving from overseas and she accommodated our request of a virtual viewing and immediately followed up with videos of the property so we could easily decide whether it was right for us in lieu of viewing it in person. Unfortunately, extremely difficult to buy a house through Charters from recent experience... I've never had to work so hard to try and spend the thick end of a million pounds before. What a shame. I have a property I need to sell going to market imminently, and based on my experience, I shall be using someone else for this. I wouldn't usually write an online review, but when I offered my feedback directly to them, I was addressed with a somewhat condescending tone and told "this has always been our policy". Somewhat like the (attenpted) purchasing experience with a Rolex AD, it seems like you need to be "lucky enough to pass criteria" to be considered as a potential customer... As they apparently aren't willing to receive constructive feedback & adapt to learn and better accommodate the needs of customers, I felt duty-bound to inform others who may want to avoid frustration when trying to find a house to buy/reach a wider audience when selling a property.

Avoid taking their recommended solicitors, Dutton Gregory, if you're using Charters for a property transaction. Currently progressing a complaint with these cowboy conveyancers after 4 defects have been reported on the leasehold of a property I'm currently selling, which Dutton Gregory handled the purchase of back in 2019 and completely missed the issues or gave me wrong advice. The icing on the cake is their complaints procedure is just as poor as their conveyancing service.
