GoogleReview of Property Management Agent: Nicky Scales A heartfelt thank you for outstanding support and professionalism We have recently experienced an incredibly stressful period as landlords, spanning the last six months. Unfortunately, our tenant failed to pay rent, which led us to instruct solicitors to resolve the matter. Although the tenant has now vacated the property, they left the house in a truly appalling condition, one which was deeply distressing to deal with. Throughout this entire ordeal, our property management agent, Nicky Scales, has been nothing short of wonderful. Navigating the complexities of property law and tenant disputes can be overwhelming, but Nicky’s guidance made all the difference. She was always professional, patient, and exceptionally kind, gently leading us through every step and ensuring we felt supported and understood. Nicky’s expertise and dedication have been invaluable. She handled each challenge with remarkable composure and empathy, providing clear advice and reassurance when we needed it most. GoogleUnderwhelming. Within a couple of weeks of putting the house on the market, they were suggesting we should reduce the price even though we hadn't marketed it at the top of the price range they had suggested. They said they would come back to take another photo of the front of the house when the weather was better but they didn't, so we had to take a better one for them to use. We mostly had to chase them up for feedback after viewings. We had to get them to amend the basic floor plan to better reflect the layout. The floor plans on many other properties they marketed were fine so we don't know why they didn't just do it properly in the first place. They were very good at telling us what we already knew from our solicitors and implying that they were doing all the work, but then so do most of the other estate agents. We had prepared the property pack ourselves and sent it our solicitors so everything was ready to go for the purchasers solicitor. To round off an unimpressive performance, they overcharged us and we had to get them to correct their invoice for their fees. We have bought and sold 4 properties in recent years and for the little work that estate agents do for sellers, they could do much better.

GoogleDuring the purchase of our property. We dealt with the Holyhead branch. From our first viewings (not just the property we bought), they were very professional and dealt with all our enquiries fast and efficiently. Unfortunately, part way through our purchase, the sellers of the property we were purchasing encountered some issues with their ongoing purchase, this was due to locating to a different country. The Holyhead team were very professional throught, keeping us updated and informing us of any developments as they occurred. The support the team showed us was second to none, all the way through to completion, to which we thank them hugely. I would greatly recommend using Williams & Goodwin (TPPUK), as with our purchase, their experience and expertise were clearly displayed.

GoogleDeeply Disappointed, Unprofessional and Immoral Conduct I recently made an offer on a property listed at £750,000 through this agency, and unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of appalling. After a few initial emails, the vendor responded with a counteroffer that I accepted late on a Friday afternoon. I followed up the next morning only to receive an out-of-office reply from the agent, stating they were on holiday for six days, with no prior notice or handover to a colleague. I was left completely in the dark. After the bank holiday weekend, I contacted the office on Tuesday. The staff member I spoke to had no knowledge of the property or my offer, but promised a call back. That call finally came on Thursday, from the same individual, who informed me that another buyer had viewed the property and submitted a higher offer. I was asked if I’d like to increase mine. I was stunned, especially since I had already agreed terms with the seller. I expressed my dissatisfaction, only to be told that while this practice, commonly known as gazumping, isn’t illegal, it may be considered “immoral.” Despite my frustration, I was again asked if I wished to raise my offer. Under pressure and seeing little alternative, I reluctantly increased my offer significantly the next day. It was accepted, and I was informed the property would be taken off the market. While preparing the necessary documents, I received a dismissive and condescending response from the manager, Matthew, regarding my formal complaint. Rather than addressing my concerns or offering an apology, he simply reiterated that they had followed procedure and expressed delight that my higher offer was accepted. Still unsettled by their handling of the situation, I emailed Matthew again, expressing serious concerns about continuing with the purchase. To my shock, I received a reply stating there was no longer a need for me to decide, because the vendor had opted to proceed with another buyer and the property was now sold (subject to contract). Twice my offers were accepted, and twice I was left blindsided. This agency demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and empathy throughout. They seemed more interested in playing games than in supporting serious buyers through one of the most significant financial and emotional decisions they’ll ever make. I will never do business with this agency again and would strongly caution others to think twice before engaging with them. The service was dreadful, and the attitude throughout was disturbingly cavalier.

She was there to help at every at every step of the process, having not purchased at auction before she replied to my emails / questions promptly! This is my second time purchasing with these estate agents and i would use them again with selling in the near future! The team are all polite and friendly when accompanying on the viewings.. GoogleThis was our first experience of selling a property by auction and we were pleasantly surprised by the ease and smoothness of the whole process. The staff at the Llangefni office guided us through and the property was well advertised, attracting a lot of attention from potential buyers. We were kept regularly informed of the number of viewings and potential interest. The actual on-line auction went very smoothly, with a courteous phone call just before the start time and to confirm the reserve price. We were pleased with the result and we then completed in 28 days following the auction. All in all, Williams and Goodwin provided a very good service, and we would recommend the All Wales Auction to anyone wanting a swift and painless sale of their property.

GoogleI'm not finished so I don't want to 'jinx' anything, but even my experience has been amazing. Not everyone in the office speaks Welsh, but they 'humour' me as Welsh learners and give me people with whom I can practice. I have agreed reduced equipment, but that was my choice. There was a lot of interest in the house in the first month and the house is now off the market. The best thing was the speed of responding to contacts by email, phone calls etc, and the speed to put on the market (virtually overnight). They are all lovely people - well done :)
