If there was an option of 0 start I would not hesitate in choosing. Disgraceful company with very high selling fees for doing absolutely nothing. They are a joke of a company with no transparency over nothing, the manager Emily in the bangor store is cheeky with customers on the phone. Her Customer service is rubbish. I would not recommend no one to go with them when selling and will be advising people in the future not to go with them. We had 3 people waiting to view our house and two of them were private from people that we knew, so we did the viewing, they only did one viewing. We had 3 bids on the house at the same price, they did nothing to try and get us more money, they didn’t even tell the three possible buyers to up their bids as they were the same amount, we had to call them and tell them this. We tried to cancel the contract i. The 14 day cooling off period and make the sale private, but they didn’t want to know. Horrendously is the word for the company and the staff.

Amy, our agent, was absolutely amazing! So profesional and reassuring throughout the whole process. No question or task was too much trouble, and any queries or questions were answered in no time. We didn't have to lift a finger throughout the whole process and everything went so smoothly. We received regular updates and helpful time scales to help us plan around the move etc. A bonus for us personally was being able to do everything through the medium of Welsh, our first language. We can't thank Amy enough for all her help and would recommend anyone looking to buy or sell to do so through Williams & Goodwin.

Deeply Disappointed, Unprofessional and Immoral Conduct I recently made an offer on a property listed at £750,000 through this agency, and unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of appalling. After a few initial emails, the vendor responded with a counteroffer that I accepted late on a Friday afternoon. I followed up the next morning only to receive an out-of-office reply from the agent, stating they were on holiday for six days, with no prior notice or handover to a colleague. I was left completely in the dark. After the bank holiday weekend, I contacted the office on Tuesday. The staff member I spoke to had no knowledge of the property or my offer, but promised a call back. That call finally came on Thursday, from the same individual, who informed me that another buyer had viewed the property and submitted a higher offer. I was asked if I’d like to increase mine. I was stunned, especially since I had already agreed terms with the seller. I expressed my dissatisfaction, only to be told that while this practice, commonly known as gazumping, isn’t illegal, it may be considered “immoral.” Despite my frustration, I was again asked if I wished to raise my offer. Under pressure and seeing little alternative, I reluctantly increased my offer significantly the next day. It was accepted, and I was informed the property would be taken off the market. While preparing the necessary documents, I received a dismissive and condescending response from the manager, Matthew, regarding my formal complaint. Rather than addressing my concerns or offering an apology, he simply reiterated that they had followed procedure and expressed delight that my higher offer was accepted. Still unsettled by their handling of the situation, I emailed Matthew again, expressing serious concerns about continuing with the purchase. To my shock, I received a reply stating there was no longer a need for me to decide, because the vendor had opted to proceed with another buyer and the property was now sold (subject to contract). Twice my offers were accepted, and twice I was left blindsided. This agency demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and empathy throughout. They seemed more interested in playing games than in supporting serious buyers through one of the most significant financial and emotional decisions they’ll ever make. I will never do business with this agency again and would strongly caution others to think twice before engaging with them. The service was dreadful, and the attitude throughout was disturbingly cavalier.

Nice people to deal with

Even though we have not actually let from this company, they have let us know of the right properties for us. Kept us informed always with a professional and friendly attitude. We have 2 German shepherd dogs which I feel was the reason we were not accepted for any of the properties we viewed. We are a professional couple and able to afford a nice home. Excellent references and able to pay up to a year in advance but were still turned down. People letting their properties mainly want tenants with no pets so the choice is limited. Anyone who has pets will know that good owners would never let their pets go due to landlords not wanting them as they are part of our family. This is not Williams Goodwin's fault. Greg was always friendly and helpful. Hopefully we are settled now but I would definitely recommend people using this estate agent.

Appalling Experience, Unprofessional and Unethical Practices

I had a deeply disappointing experience with this agency after making an offer on a property they listed. My initial offer was accepted by the vendor, but communication completely broke down when the agent went on holiday without warning or handover. Days later, I was told another party had made a higher offer and was asked to increase mine, despite already having an agreement in place. Reluctantly, I raised my offer significantly, which was then accepted. I was assured the property was off the market. However, after expressing concerns about the agency’s conduct in a formal complaint, met with a dismissive and unhelpful response from their manager, I was abruptly informed the vendor had accepted another offer and the property was sold. This agency demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic courtesy. Their handling of the process was both emotionally and financially distressing. I will never deal with them again and would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious.
