Always pleasant, personal and professional service

Having purchased a property to let in Anglesey, as I live hundreds of miles away, I decided to get a fully managed service from an Anglesey letting agent. Having found an agent, I quickly became concerned at their lack of pro-activeness and communication. This was a particular concern as I was so far away. I then decided to use Williams & Goodwin, Eluned being my main point of contact. A lot of work needed doing on the property, several months later, it is now ready to let. Eluned has most definitely been proactive and informative in helping me along the journey so far. She has shown a genuine and personal interest in getting the property ready to let. She has also enthusiastically demonstrated her extensive local knowledge and been an invaluable resource for me when researching Anglesey for the best areas in which to get my investment property. The house is going on the market now, knowing that Eluned and her team will be looking after it gives me confidence that it is in safe hands and that the tenants will be looked after.

Poor service and poor customer relations

When I first used Wms & Goodwin 2 years ago for my first and only role as a landlord, I was very happy with all aspects of the service so I naturally returned to your company when my tenants left after 2 years. I called at the Caernarfon office to instruct your company to advertise for me.. I filled in the Agency Agreement, When asked if I wanted the Managed service or the Find Tenant Only I said I wanted the latter as previously as we live nearby the property.There was no conversation about section 2 within that agreement (Phil at Caernarfon had filled in the original form for me) and I confess I did not refer to that form, I just wanted the same service as before, asked for the company to arrange for a chimney sweep and an electrician so I could obtain the appropriate certificates, told them that the house would be ready for viewing by 12.8.16 and that the original photos taken by Phil 2 years ago could be used again as the house was immaculate and looked the same. Within days of availability we had two viewings, one of which became the current tenant. from 17.8.16. Since then I have contacted both your Caernarfon office and your Lettings office to request the certificates, always being told they would be "chased up". Last Friday I phoned Kelly yet again and mentioned that I had not received the Contract either. She told me I had not requested one and I would have to pay ( I think she said £120 ) for one. I was taken aback by this and a short while after I phoned back to explain I hadn't realised that I hadn't filled in the form correctly. I then suggested that, as I'd repeatedly had to ask for the certificates and that Wms & Goodwin had had very little work to do on my behalf (ie there was no need for photos ) that it might be a nice gesture if the Company provided me with the Agreement Form at a favourable rate. Kelly said she would speak to her manager and phone me back. ( she didn't). In the evening I received an e mail from her saying the manager had been unavailable and she would phone me on Monday. I heard nothing and on Tuesday I phoned again. It seems the manager would not entertain my suggestion and Kelly repeated that I could obtain a similar form from the internet. The missing certificates still had not materialised and she would carry on chasing them. I told her I was not happy with the service I'd received from the Company. I am particularly disappointed with the manager's attitude as I do not consider it to be good customer relations and I am left with no reason to ever use the Company again. A great service from beginning to end

From the day that our rental property became available Williams & Goodwin advertised it that day and the viewings just flowed in! This, in turn meant that it was occupied again within seven weeks with tenants that matched their and our needs. Jemma & Gwenno were particularily helpful informing and reminding us of every aspect of the process. They even found us an electrician at short notice which was particularily helpful. Excellent, friendly, reliable, service as landlords. Communication brilliant.

This will be my sixth year using Williams and Goodwin. I use the fully managed service. Communication is excellent whether, via telephone, e-mail or post and Jemma, my property manager, and the company have always been helpful and sorted out any issues promptly. Management visit reports, done by Greg, are easy to read and understand and carried out regularly. If repairs are noted on the report, with the landlord's/lady's consent, they will send you quotes, and because they use local companies to work for them it saves you looking for workmen for repairs. However, you are not obliged to use them if you do not wish! Organising external contractors for electricity, plumbing and gas, or re-decorating is also no trouble for them, and I have found their tradesmen to be very efficient, cost effective, and are well known in the area as good tradesmen. During the vacant period, they will arrange, with your consent, for the property to be cleaned, and any works needed are always done. When one of my tenants caused damage, which was not just a wear and tear issue, they used the dispute resolution service with the DPS to claim money owing. It was no hassle for them to help resolve the issues. They have also taken money from a deposit, with the tenants agreement for a minor repair. When a tenant leaves, if you want to re-let they always put the property back on the lettings market immediately, to avoid a void period. I am particularly pleased to receive regular updates as to progress when new tenants are vetted- there is never any need for me to go chasing information. Jemma (and the team) in the Llangefni office has been particularly helpful and efficient- thank you! I will certainly be using their services again in the future when I'm looking for another tenant.

An efficient and reliable service, with excellent customer care

We have used the letting services of Williams and Goodwin for 5 years and they have proved to be both efficient and reliable in our dealings with them. From listing the property, to tenants moving in through to follow up visits and administration, the whole team work together to manage each stage thoroughly and smoothly. The team members are polite and professional but at the same time friendly and approachable, which works well for us. Property People have been our letting agents for the past 5 years and we have had an excellent standard of service from them. They are very thorough when dealing with potential tenants,and know which tenants are suitable for us as landlords in a rural area. They also have contacts with local tradesmen when there is a problem involving house maintenance, and sometimes emergency work. All the staff are very professional and helpful - telephoning or e mailing often to keep us updated with the latest news on potential tenants.
