Right from the beginning the Service was good with a fully explained valuation from Matthew and a prompt, accurate and professional brochure by Jamie. For me the real key is the handling of the sale which can be very stressful and from experience not all estate agents are the same and Williams and Goodwin are excellent at this. They don't just leave it to the solicitors. A special mention to Charlotte who not only managed my sale but was actively chasing all the solicitors and agents throughout the chain and kept my informed.

⭐ 1 star, would give 0 if I could If there was an option for 0 stars, I wouldn’t hesitate to choose it Our experience with Williams & Goodwin while selling our house was absolutely disgraceful. The selling fees are extremely high for the level of service we received. From our experience, there was a complete lack of transparency and communication throughout the process, and we were left feeling that we had to do their job for them. Our experience with the Bangor branch was particularly disappointing. We found the customer service from the manager, Emily, to be extremely poor. On the phone, we felt that her attitude towards us as customers was rude and unhelpful, which only added to an already frustrating experience. We had **three people interested in viewing our house two of whom were private buyers we already knew, meaning we carried out those viewings ourselves Williams & Goodwin only carried out one viewing We then received three offers at exactly the same price. Rather than contacting the potential buyers and asking whether they wanted to improve their offers, we had to point this out to Williams & Goodwin ourselves Considering the fees we were paying, we expected them to be actively working to achieve the best possible price for our property We also tried to cancel the contract during the14 -day cooling off period because of our experience and make the sale privatelyWe were extremely disappointed with how this was handled and felt that our concerns were not listened to Overall, we are extremely unhappy with the service we received\. For the amount of money being charged, we expected a professional, proactive and transparent service\. Instead, we felt that very little was done to actually help us sell our home **Based on our personal experience, I would not recommend Williams & Goodwin to anyone looking to sell their property\. We will certainly be advising friends and family to consider other options. A thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish

If there was an option of 0 start I would not hesitate in choosing. Disgraceful company with very high selling fees for doing absolutely nothing. They are a joke of a company with no transparency over nothing, the manager Emily in the bangor store is cheeky with customers on the phone. Her Customer service is rubbish. I would not recommend no one to go with them when selling and will be advising people in the future not to go with them. We had 3 people waiting to view our house and two of them were private from people that we knew, so we did the viewing, they only did one viewing. We had 3 bids on the house at the same price, they did nothing to try and get us more money, they didn’t even tell the three possible buyers to up their bids as they were the same amount, we had to call them and tell them this. We tried to cancel the contract i. The 14 day cooling off period and make the sale private, but they didn’t want to know. Horrendously is the word for the company and the staff.

Previously had my house listed for sale with another agent, decided to switch to Williams and Goodwin. The difference with everything from the photographs, listing and service made it clear that I had made the right decision to switch. After having the house listed with a previous agent for 12 months, after I switched to Williams and Goodwin I had offer accepted quickly after switching, the sale fell through, no fault of Williams and Goodwin. Williams and Goodwin re-listed the property and promptly had another offer which led to a really smooth and efficient sale. I viewed this property with JLL on 21 May 2026, made an offer, and moved in on 14 August 2026. I am paying £2,730 per month for a 38 m² studio, and the condition in which JLL handed over this property was absolutely disgraceful. Before moving in, I had already agreed with the landlord that I would pay ALL costs myself to remove the extremely old and filthy black sofa and replace it with a new L-shaped sofa. A property at this price should never have been handed over with furniture in that condition. When I arrived, the flat was covered in dust, there were spider webs in three out of four corners of the balcony, and black and red marks on the walls. Despite this, Ms Tiffany from JLL told me the property had been cleaned the day before my arrival. If this is what JLL considers professionally cleaned, that is shocking. During my viewing on 21 May, Ms Amelia from JLL personally noticed that the curtains needed repairing. I did not even point them out. She noticed them herself, took photographs on her phone and told me they would be repaired. Almost three months later, I moved in and they were still exactly the same. The mattress was completely yellow. On the actual day I moved in, the landlord and I had to buy a new mattress and split the cost 50/50. Again, I had to personally pay to correct something that should have been dealt with before handover. The bathroom sink was completely blocked. Water did not drain, leaving yellow dirty water with black debris sitting in the basin for hours. On the first day of a £2,730-per-month tenancy, I did not even have a functioning bathroom sink in which to wash my hands. The kitchen sink was also missing its drain filter/strainer, leaving an extremely large open hole, wide enough that even a drinking glass could easily fall straight through it. How is something this basic not checked before handing over a property? Even more seriously, both the main entrance door handle and bathroom door handle were coming apart. The main door handle could drop down and become trapped against the wall, making it difficult for someone inside to open the door. What happens during a fire, flood or medical emergency? This is a safety issue, not a cosmetic problem. The balcony cushions were unbelievably filthy. Cushions that were supposed to be white had turned almost black, and one even had what clearly appeared to be a cigarette burn hole in it. What makes this worse is the difference in urgency. Emails and WhatsApp messages about problems can go unanswered for days, including communication with Ms Tiffany, and I have written records of this. But when JLL wanted the rent and deposit, there was suddenly urgency to send the payment receipt “ASAP.” So collecting thousands of pounds from the tenant is urgent, but providing a clean, safe and properly functioning home apparently is not. For £2,730 PER MONTH, I was handed a property with a filthy sofa, a yellow mattress, unrepaired curtains previously identified and photographed by Ms Amelia, dust, stained walls, spider webs, unusable balcony cushions, a completely blocked bathroom sink, a kitchen sink missing its drain strainer and unsafe door handles, while Ms Tiffany told me it had been cleaned the previous day. Completely unacceptable. SHAME ON YOU, JLL.
