Reasonably priced but the facilities could use some modernising. Got assigned a unit on the upper level but there is only one lift for the whole place so if there is even one other person trying to load/unload a unit it's a bit of a logistical nightmare. The lift also seems very unreliable (it's clearly ancient) and the staff seem to blame this on the customers for not operating it correctly. It broke down several times when I was trying to move out recently and I ended up being shouted at by one of the staff members and being told it was my fault. Not a great customer experience. Glad I have vacated and don't have to go back!

Good afternoon, We are sad to hear that you did not have a great experience whilst storing with our store. After speaking to the store manager he explained that the lift is a goods only lift and may cut off if a person is detected within the lift. We appreciate your comments in regards to only having one lift and this has been fed back and taken on board. We aim to give the best customer service and a great experience whilst storing with us and apologise that you feel you didn’t receive the level we strive to achieve. Thanks for using Safestore.
