TrustpilotI have never rented office space before…
I have never rented office space before and decided to take a chance because of WFH. My first week there, I notice the community refrigerator on the 3rd floor was majorly un-kept. I won't use it because of the strong sour smell. I have experienced constant WiFi issues that consistently exist - which wastes my work production time that I can get back. I have mentioned it to folks, but the response seemed like a shoulder shrug and a "we're STILL working on it". Third floor smells like weed occasionally. I was really optimistic and hopeful for rented space here, but that novelty is starting to fade and I am uncertain that it's worth it. I'm really disappointed.

The office was fine but it's taking quite a long time to get the deposit back that I paid to rent it. I was also charged an additional £90 fee which was not communicated until months after I had vacated the office.

Spaces has denied me the right to cancel my contract prior to its commencement date. I subscribed and placed a start date that was in the future. I tried to cancel before it started and was denied. I am writing this review so that in the future someone, or a court, would like to have a reference of how long this practice has been going on. For all readers, I wanted to let you know, this practice is illegal. All persons have the right to cancel a service contract prior to its commencement date in the UK. Regardless of what Spaces terms of service says they are not above the law. I have let them know, and have yet to hear about a change in this policy.One more thing I would like to add - Sandra has now updated her response (which previously did not at all deal with my issue of cancellation). More importantly, my contract started on April 1st. I sent in my request to cancel on March 31st. This is all documented. I even spoke to their staff so as to make sure it was. This is illegal. You cannot force someone to follow through with a service contract before it has started. One more thing...they have not followed up with an email after her (posting below). I'm reporting them to Trading Standards.

We had a flood in our regular office and we needed a spot to hold client and staff meetings. We found Spaces was a perfect fit for our staff, clients and our "office" personality. The manager and all of the people that we have dealt with during our brief stay have been wonderful and super helpful. While we were only displaced for a couple of months, it made us sad to leave...but have no doubt that if we need a space in the future...SPACES is where we will go, no questions asked!

I love my space and the location however with what is going on I am having to give it up at end of my lease to cut expenses right now. The only negative I have is getting mail. I think Mail should be delivered to our office or have a way to get it in the late afternoon or evenings or weekends. Also, should offer free tea, coffee etc.

Spaces was poor to fair in terms of the value we received (in the Plano, Texas SPACES). Mail wasn't always delivered. Issues took too long to resolve, etc. However when our contract was up we needed a "bridge" space for literally two weeks. We signed a contract, was there for two weeks (knowing we had to pay for a full month) and then handed over our keys. YET THEY ARE STILL BILLING US! They keep passing the buck around... Literally, how hard is it to just cancel a membership. Unbelieveable!

Spaces Teddington has remained an exceptionally well run facility through out this most recent lockdown. On site staff have been led by site manager (Teddington) to continue to provide a seamless service, mindful of peoples natural concerns about operating in an office environment. The shear number of tasks the on site manager has been able to deal with in a day, largely on his own, is true credit to his work ethic and the brand he represents every day.
