TrustpilotWon't return deposit
I rented my space 1st March 2020 and placed my initial deposit down. A few weeks later we went into lockdown. I paid out of good faith but as the dire situation of COVID became more serious, I contacted Spaces to ask if I could be let of my contract as I had so far only been able to use the space for about two weeks and had so far paid two/three months rent. They said no they won't allow me out of my contract. I then enquired if they would offer any form of discount since I had not had any use of the space and would not be getting any use of the space, several weeks later I received a joke of a discount, 50% off for a month with my contract extended for three months. Absolutely not! Whilst I was waiting for their reply I was holding back the rent, in case of a discount, which was tough to pay as we were struggling due to loss of income. They didn't care. I got hit with a late fee, THREATENED with debt collectors and had my membership revoked, whilst still being forced to pay for the rest of the year! What a disgusting company to do this to someone during a pandemic. I immediately launched a complaint and was allowed access to my office again...except I still could not use it as government guidelines prevented it.I have now reached the end of my contract NEVER using my space as I could not, no help from the company at all. I requested my deposit back...well of course that isn't easy. Trying to so online simply says there is an error. I contacted the company and was told to complete a spreadsheet and send screenshots, which I did...I then heard nothing. I tried contacting them again and was told to complete the spreadsheet again and send screenshots AGAIN...which I did...and heard nothing back. I contacted them a third time and was told the email was no longer valid!! They have not only STOLEN a year of deposit and made me pay for a cleaning service at the end of my contract (to may wipe the dust off my chair that had not been used!!) but now making it impossible to get my deposit back. I paid for your corrupt fees for a year! Return the money that is owed to me! I will be taking this to court and please for all that is good stay away from this corrupt company.

Hello James,As the world’s largest provider of flexible working solutions, we are acutely aware of how challenging this crisis continues to be for people and businesses. All our locations have remained open since the start of the outbreak and all services have been, and continue to be, available to customers. This carries its own costs and as such, it is not unreasonable that we then expect our customers to honour their commitments. The offer made to you last year was a subsidy from our business to yours, and something which we are proud to offer. We worked to provide the maximum benefit per customer whilst also ensuring the sustainability of our own business so that we will be here to support you in our normal capacity as we come out of this crisis. I am sorry that you’ve experienced technical difficulties requesting your retainer online, your screenshots have been shared with our IT teams for investigation. Your refund should be refunded within 30 days of your end date. As your initial request was still before your end date, it was unable to be processed. We have previously tried to assist in ensuring this is processed swiftly but recognise that you’ve experienced delays for which we apologise for. It is certainly not our intention to withhold your retainer from you.We are in contact with you directly now and will fully assist until your refund is received. Thank you again for your understanding.Best,Sandra Melody Head of Customer Services

TrustpilotHouse of Cards
House of CardsThis company is good at one thing. Extortion. Do not do business here, no matter how nice the office appears, they are a racquet with one mission, not being able to easy get your deposits back. The button is entirely missing that you need to click on their website to ask for your retainer back. It’s been a problem for weeks and it’s still not fixed! Completely inexcusable. They have gotten numerous complaints and yet they don’t seem to be doing much about it. Of course they have no problem on the site trying to collect your payments. Buyer beware!

We rented an office from Spaces and our lease terminated March 31. Our retainer deposit was equivalent to 2 months of rent and was added to our bill on the first and third months of our agreement. Now that our lease has ended they refuse to refund our deposit because their website is having a technical issue and the "request for retainer balance" prompt does not come up when we log in. The "make payment" prompts never had issues coming up when our invoices were sent to us.

TrustpilotAn example of how things work
For a heads up, this is what cancelling looks like:1. There is no number to call. Try to find one! You can only "enquire" using their general form.2. They say you can easily cancel online in your account, but for many of us (read these comments or those from Regus) that is not true. My membership isn't even listed. Some others have it listed with unclickable "End Agreement" buttons.4. The agent that initially signed me up always deflects to go in person for help. The in-person staff were so far not able to help.5. I "enquired" to cancel using their general form, and was called immediately to book more rooms. When I said I wanted to cancel, the agent pretended to transfer me and hung up.6. Remain calm and keep trying. 7. I emailed Sandra Melody (the one here who replies to 1-star reviews), and really hope she can end my agreement.8. I received an email that said "be sure to use the new website" new.myregus.com to end my agreement. Same issue - my membership charges my credit card but is not listed. I sent them a screenshot, and again I really hope they can end my agreement.

TrustpilotTerrible service, think twice before falling into their trap
Terrible service, think twice before signing anything with them as there is no way out of their trap. As a small business effected with Covid Ive downgraded my co sharing office to post only membership, once signed when being asked for my post name I’ve made it clear that post will be named on my legal company name and my trading name (as they are slightly different but of course 1 company) I was told that I will have to pay for both names separate (which makes no sense to me as it’s 1 company) otherwise they will not accept post and return to sender. I’ve then asked to terminate my contract as I was not aware about this rule, and the reply I have received was if I don’t pay they will send the debt collectors after me, (bare in mind it’s the first day after I’ve just signed a contract that I have been threatened with Debt collectors and after two years me renting 3 desks and never missed payments) after going back and forth for weeks they finally decided to agree to accept post under both names, Now I had to deal with late payment fees as it wasn’t paid until the matter was resolved, which they are charging me for suspending my services etc. After finally agreeing to remove late fees I’ve paid immediately to move on and finally get back to my business and trade. But guess what! 5 days later I’ve received a call from my client to say that their Cheque posted to me has been returned !! After reaching out again they have said that they still haven’t reopened my services!! (5 days after it was all finally sorted) Is this normal? How are small Business like mine protected against these traps? With no help from anyone at the spaces team, debt collectors threats, I’ve been paying in full for a service that I’ve not even been receiving!!! Thank you for this unnecessary mess and massive inconvenience caused by your useless customer services, Bottom line - In spaces they treat you as another agreement number (same way Cows get treated) rather then a client. And NOBODY cares about you other then chasing money and debt collectors threats. Stay far

Hi Lazer,I am sorry that you feel disappointed in the experience that you’ve had so far. Please understand that we are required by law to follow anti-money laundering regulations to set up a Virtual Office. As we are following a governmental procedure, it would be illegal for us to provide Virtual Office services to you until the process is completed in its entirety. This process includes receiving verified documents from you and ensure that all post received is under the name of the company you provide us upon joining. As you have two company names of great similarity, we can accept these but the third name is not possible. As displayed in your online statement, your initial invoices were paid on 24 March but your due date was 12 February. As a result, your account with us has incurred a late payment fee. Now that you’ve set up an automated payment method, we have credited your late fees as an exception. You’ll still receive your invoices well before the payment date, giving you time to review them and if needed, seek clarification. Now that you’ve paid and your compliance process was completed on 29 March, your service can fully begin. This means that no further post will need to be rejected.I hope that I’ve been able to clarify your concerns. We are always here to help and appreciate your understanding of the regulations we’re required to follow. Many thanks,Sandra Melody Head of Customer Services

TrustpilotIt’s a mess
It’s a mess. I am renting a private office. Since day one the invoices and billing are wrong. I asked to be fixed and it takes several weeks. Now they just overcharged me on almost US$700. I have been asking for the money back (i owe them nothing, they simply overcharged my account) and the receptionist told me I have to wait. That he can do nothing because it is a big company and the billing is overseas. Now they gave the overcharged value as credit on my account. I told them I don’t want no credit in my spaces account - i want the money, cash, in my banking account, from where they illegally took it from. I have been complaining in vain. There is no one to speak to. You send emails and nobody answer. All the receptionist says is that he cannot help. I just had a child and I need the money to pay his health insurance. They couldn’t care less. I’ve tried everything and I get no answer. Spaces and regus are a big mess. They don’t respect no other. They illegally take your money and do nothing to fix that. It is a shame. If you want some peace of mind, do never come to spaces (regus). I regret so hard.

TrustpilotDeception, extortion
Worst company ever! (and they always answer to contact them so as to look good in public but then they ignore your messages and don’t care about anything)Same problem as the comment below! They charge you for 2 months from the first day. I asked the staff to cancel my membership.m from the first day because I was there only for a month. They told me they’re handling it. Then when I ask why I received an invoice, they tell me that they investigate. They didn’t do anything. When I ask the customer support they told me « I have no proof » and the staff just does as if they were right. They basically ignored my request and then told me I had « no proof ». The staff purposely scammed me and then pretends « I have no proofs » even though I asked them every single day. If you go there, get a proof of every single interaction. Otherwise, they’ll just use that against you. And don’t believe they customer « support ». It’s just a way to look good in public. They can’t be trusted at all. They’re guilty or deception and extortion. I can’t believe it’s an actual company.

Hi,We apologise that you feel disappointed so soon after joining us. It is our business practice to ‘purposely scam’ our customers. At Spaces, we work hard to provide only efficient and simple processes for our customers, especially when it comes to termination of your account.Ending your agreement is easy: Simply log into your online account (www.myspacesworks.com) and go to Accounts > Products & services. Select the account you wish to end and follow the instructions. You’ll then receive an email confirmation. In the event that you gave notice in writing, we would be happy to review this and base your end date on such written evidence. If you have no proof as you’ve stated, then I can only assume that you perhaps gave notice verbally, but this is unable to be accepted. If you are able to provide us with evidence of an earlier written termination notice then please feel free to email me directly at sandra.melody@regus.com along with your company details and reference BCN03RF so we can address your concerns.Thank you.Sandra Melody Head of Customer Services

I have been using Spaces in Paris for almost a year. I travel around France for business and have also used their offices in Bordeaux and Lyon. Everytime, I am greeted by helpful, cheerful staff. Hello , This is the most dishonest and misleading co working space company .When you apply on their site , their terms and conditions stipulate that the membership fees are payable monthly in advance . However , as soon as you have applied and paid your membership fee, you receive another invoice for the second month of your membership of the next month ,payable 2 weeks in advance. This is not stipulated in the Terms , and its misleading avoid them ,

Hello Roger,At Spaces, we work hard to ensure full transparency in the invoicing process. The monthly charges you can see on your invoice are made up of an advance rent payment plus a payment for services in arrears. All your invoices are available in your online account by clicking on Account. It is correct that your fees are payable monthly in advance i.e, the invoice that you pay in March (by no later than the 15th) will cover you for April’s monthly charges. I’d be happy to clarify it for you specifically but you’ve posted anonymously. Can you please contact me directly at sandra.melody@regus.com with your company details and review ID, BCN0366 so I can link your correspondence?Best, Best regards, Sandra Melody Head of Customer Services NB: Did you know that you can also check your agreement, meeting room bookings and other services through your online account? TrustpilotCenter Closed on Short Notice
Prior center closed and I was given less than 5 business days to move out or to another center, despite having over 1 year left on my agreement. I chose a new center and despite being told that move would be seamless and turnkey, I ended up having to pack up the office and unpack at the new location. That includes IT setup. Some boxes were delivered to the wrong location. I was asked reenter all of my payment data into a new system, despite no changes in payment terms. I did so, but Spaces has been having systems problems and has not been able to process payments and keeps sending me late payment notifications. Senior people at Spaces/Regus are not engaged and delegate to junior staff. I have been dealing with an employee who has been with the company less than 2 months. She is excellent, but constrained by corporate incompetence.
