Her incredible support throughout our buying process was always proactive, warm, and exceptionally professional, expecially when my solicitors where not that informative regarding the current stage of the house journey. Moving home can be stressful, but having Geraldine as our Move Manager made a world of difference. She kept us updated every step of the way, navigated potential hurdles with ease, and made sure everything moved forward smoothly. Her communication, reassurance, and dedication to getting the job done were truly top-tier even with her poor sore throt. We’ve had a really positive experience with Ryder & Dutton throughout our house move. Everyone we dealt with was helpful, professional and friendly, and the whole process was made so much easier because of their communication and support. A special mention to Jenny Boyle, who was absolutely fantastic. She was so helpful, approachable and kept us updated throughout, always going above and beyond when we needed anything. It was lovely having someone so friendly and reliable helping us through what can be a very stressful process. There were many issues with Ryder and Dutton in this process. However in their defence they They kept me informed as to the progress of the house sale but there were some major, worrying issues. I had given keys to R&D to allow viewings but on returned to the house following these I found that the back door was still unlocked, the trap to the roof space left open even though it was a terraced house and lights had been left on in the pantry. I had arranged for a charity to clear some of the furniture, initially they said they could come down and supervise then on the day they said they could not but an employee came to the house that afternoon. They stated they could do the same on the second time I tried to get the house cleared - then couldn't. It was a very stressful sale which led to serious medical issues. They sent emails about the progress but in many cases I found them lacking.
We are sorry to hear that you found the sale stressful and that there were occasions where our service fell short of the standard we aim to provide. We fully appreciate your concern about returning to the property after viewings and finding the back door unlocked, loft hatch left open and lights still on. We take the security of our clients’ properties extremely seriously and we are sorry that this happened. Regarding the furniture clearance charity, they could not allocate a time slot to us, and asked for us to be there all day to wait for them, which unfortunately was not feasible for us to do. We are particularly sorry to hear about the impact the sale had on you personally, and we sincerely wish you well for the future.

Catherine, in particular, was outstanding; she was extremely helpful throughout and consistently chased things up to ensure everything kept moving forward, which made a real difference when there were delays beyond anyone’s control. Communication was clear and consistent, and I never felt like I was left waiting or chasing for updates myself. Catherine kept on top of things, followed up with all parties involved, and kept me informed at every stage. Would happily recommend Ryder & Dutton.

Kirsten was excellent and responded quickly and reassuringly to any problems that arose, ensuring everything was kept running smoothly. Alex and Amy were also very helpful with dealing with any queries and questions, and chasing these up. I would recommend using this agent.

Absolutely terrible experience. We have been dealing with ongoing damp and mould issues for around a year, yet despite repeatedly reporting the problem, Ryder & Dutton have failed to properly resolve it. Instead of taking responsibility and finding a real solution, the issue has been repeatedly pushed aside and excuses have been made. Extremely disappointing service and absolutely not an agency I would recommend.
